How to detect pregnancy with test paper

Many women know about early pregnancy test strips, but they don't know how to use them properly. There are many common problems with early pregnancy test strips. You can't drink a lot of water before using early pregnancy test strips, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the results. So what does an early pregnancy test strip look like to indicate pregnancy?

Early pregnancy test strips are a simple way for women to determine whether they are pregnant in daily life. The basic principle is to determine whether a woman is pregnant based on the concentration of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in urine. HCG is a special hormone secreted by pregnant women. It is a glycoprotein produced by the embryo and is excreted in the urine through the renal tubules. Therefore, it can be detected with an early pregnancy test.

HCG usually appears in urine and blood 6 days after pregnancy, but because of the small amount, it is difficult to detect it with early pregnancy test strips at this time. However, the HCG content increases significantly 10 to 14 days after intercourse, and it can be easily detected at this time. However, the rate and amount of HCG metabolized by women vary from person to person. Therefore, in order to improve the accuracy of the test, experts suggest that it is best to test 2 weeks after the menstrual period is delayed, when the results are more accurate. How to correctly load the pregnancy test card after testing? How to determine whether you are pregnant based on the results of the pregnancy test card?

1. If there are two dark purple bands on the pregnancy test card, that is, dark purple bands appear in the test area (T) and the quality control area (C), it means that the urine sample collection is positive (), indicating that the woman is already pregnant.

2. If there is only one dark purple band on the pregnancy test card, that is, the dark purple band only appears in the quality control area (C), it means that the urine sample collection is negative (-), indicating that there is no pregnancy.

3. If there is no dark purple band on the pregnancy test card, it means that the test was not performed properly or the pregnancy test card has been damaged.

Regardless of which of the above results occurs, it is recommended to conduct another test within 2-3 days to ensure the accuracy of the results. If you are pregnant, it is recommended to see a doctor for a final diagnosis.
