Can I run during my period?

There is a saying that goes: Life lies in movement. Taking part in some physical exercise every day, such as running, is good for our body and can keep us healthy and slim. At the same time, it can enrich our lives and reduce the pressure of life. However, as a woman, everyone thinks that you should not exercise during the menstrual period every month. In fact, this is not true. Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon and jogging exercise is also possible.

Many experts and scholars have given their own opinions. There are certain benefits for women to run during menstruation. First, it can relieve abdominal pain (perhaps because the body is better than before), and second, when the abdominal pain is particularly severe, running will make the pain disappear.

Except for a few women who suffer from dysmenorrhea or heavy menstrual bleeding, any woman who is healthy and has normal menstruation can participate in appropriate physical exercise. For general female running enthusiasts, appropriate jogging during menstruation can promote blood circulation and improve blood supply in the pelvic cavity. During exercise, the contraction and relaxation of the abdominal wall muscles and pelvic muscles are performed alternately, which can promote the exfoliation of the endometrium, facilitate the discharge of menstrual blood, reduce the phenomenon of local filling in the pelvic cavity, and relieve the feeling of lower abdominal sinking and bloating.

At the same time, jogging can also regulate the excitation and inhibition process of the cerebral cortex, thereby reducing systemic maladaptation. According to surveys conducted by some foreign experts, the human body can gradually adapt to high-load exercise during the menstrual period.

From this, it can be seen that female friends can not only do some jogging during their menstrual period, but jogging is also good for our body. Therefore, during the menstrual period, if our physical condition is good, we must insist on running. Even if we don’t want to run, we must encourage ourselves to stick to it.

Apparently the lesson to be learned from this is: Keep running during your period, even if you don't feel like it. You may be satisfied with the results of doing this, but if you are not, you can stop at any time.
