How long does it take to get pregnant after laparoscopy?

Laparoscopy is a common surgical treatment method for gynecological diseases in clinical medicine at this stage, especially for the treatment of gynecological tumors. How long it takes to get pregnant after laparoscopy depends on the location of the surgery. If it is a uterine and ovarian tumor removal or fallopian tube surgery, you can usually get pregnant 2-3 months after the surgery; if it is a uterine fibroid removal surgery, it is generally more appropriate to wait 1-2 years after the surgery before getting pregnant. Because of the myoma removal surgery, the uterus will be damaged, and early pregnancy can easily cause uterine rupture.

Diet

Pay attention to maintenance after laparoscopy. Nutrition and dietary intake after laparoscopy are the same as normal. Drink more water to make up for the loss of blood during surgery.

Generally, you should be able to resume eating after laparoscopic repair. First, drink some warm water. If there is no discomfort, you can start to eat liquid food (such as rice porridge). You can resume your normal diet the next day. Because the healing of the wound requires protein, you should eat high-protein food (such as fish, lean meat, eggs...) to speed up the healing of the wound, and avoid irritating food to prevent irritating gastric juice secretion and causing gastrointestinal discomfort (such as chili peppers, cigarettes, oil, coffee).

The biggest difference between laparoscopic surgery and general open surgery is that carbon dioxide needs to be infused during the operation to produce pneumoperitoneum for convenient operation. Therefore, it is easy for residual carbon dioxide gas to remain in the abdominal cavity after the operation. Therefore, the diet after laparoscopy should increase the intake of vegetables and high-fiber fruits, and avoid foods that cause bloating, such as sweet potatoes, beans, onions, etc. This can reduce the discomfort caused by abdominal distension after surgery.

For major surgeries, such as hysterectomy, intestinal adhesion reduction, cervical cancer removal surgery..., due to the long anesthesia time and the long operation time, the gastrointestinal tract absorbs more gas, which is more likely to cause abdominal distension. Therefore, it is more appropriate to eat after 24 hours. For patients who are prone to nausea, vomiting and special physical conditions after surgery, there is no need to force themselves to eat, and they can eat after the anesthesia completely wears off.
