Can I drink carbonated drinks during my period? What should I pay attention to?

Menstruation is no stranger to every girl, but not every girl knows what to pay attention to during the menstrual period. Today I want to talk to girls about things related to menstruation. In the hot summer, many beauties like to have a glass of iced carbonated drink to quench their thirst and cool down. But do you know if it is appropriate to drink carbonated drinks during menstruation? Will it cause harm to the body?

Menstruation refers to the shedding of the endometrium, and the discharge of the shed endometrial tissue and blood from the vagina. The blood that flows out is called menstrual blood. Women and some female mammals have regular menstruation during their reproductive period. This cycle is called the menstrual cycle. Generally speaking, the amount of blood loss during a woman's menstruation is between 30 ml and 80 ml. A woman's first menstrual period is called menarche, which marks the beginning of puberty. Women do not have menstruation during pregnancy. You will have menstruation during breastfeeding (so you need to take good contraceptive measures at this time), and menstruation will stop after menopause.

During menstruation, you should drink more boiled water and avoid strong tea. Because strong tea contains high caffeine, it can stimulate the nerves and cardiovascular system, and can easily cause dysmenorrhea, prolonged menstruation or excessive bleeding. At the same time, the tannic acid in tea combines with the iron in food in the intestines and precipitates, affecting iron absorption and causing anemia. In addition, you should avoid drinking alcohol, smoking, or eating spicy food during menstruation.

During menstruation, women's bodies have less alcohol-degrading enzymes, so they get drunk more easily. What's more serious is that in order to produce enzymes to help break down alcohol, the liver's burden is significantly increased. Therefore, drinking during this period will cause more serious damage to the liver than usual, increasing the possibility of causing liver dysfunction.

Carbonated drinks are indeed a good choice in the summer, but it has to be said that there is really no nutritional value behind this popular drink. You should drink less on a normal day, as drinking too much may even harm your body. Especially girls, do you want to experience the excruciating pain again and again? If not, you must control your desires.
