Female Yin deficiency, hyperactivity of fire, weak spleen and stomach

In traditional Chinese medicine culture, yin and yang are a very important concept, which is the basis of many basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine. On the surface, our abdomen is yin and the back is yang. Our 12 meridians are also divided into yin and yang meridians. From the perspective of Qigong theory, Yang and Yin refer to the two modes of operation of the original Qi in the body. Under normal circumstances, these two kinds of Qi are in a balanced state. Therefore, whether it is Kidney Yin deficiency or Yang deficiency, there are problems with our health. Today, the head master will tell you the main causes of Yin deficiency and excessive fire, as well as several tips to solve them. Let’s take a look!

1. Five major symptoms of Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire

Many people have heard of kidney yin deficiency, and know that yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire are bad for health, but they don’t know what exactly kidney yin deficiency is? What are the clinical symptoms of kidney yin deficiency? Please don't pretend to know. If you meet some of them, it means that your body is already in a state of kidney yin deficiency.

1. People with kidney yin deficiency are very prone to weight loss

Kidney yin deficiency is most likely to cause excessive stomach heat. People with weak spleen and stomach have poor digestion and absorption function, cannot digest food after eating, and body fat is easily accumulated. Most of them are fat people. However, people with kidney yin deficiency are just the opposite. They have a good appetite and can eat and drink, but their stomach heat is relatively severe, their metabolism is too fast, and they consume too much. Therefore, they have kidney yin deficiency, not only do they not gain weight, but their bodies will become thinner and thinner, and their muscles are not firm.

2. People with kidney yin deficiency are very prone to insomnia

People with kidney yin deficiency are prone to excessive fire, mainly stomach heat and internal fire. Once the internal fire reaches the heart, people with kidney yin deficiency will feel very upset, sometimes with panic and shortness of breath, and easily lose their temper. In severe cases, it can cause insomnia, tossing and turning at night, or easily waking up from sleep.

3. People with kidney yin deficiency have poor skin

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, kidney yin deficiency is due to the inability of kidney water to extinguish internal heat. Insufficient kidney water will cause the skin to be relatively dry, the mouth is prone to sores, the whole person's complexion looks not very good, and constipation is also prone to occur.

4. People with kidney yin deficiency have hot and irritable feelings in the five parts of their body.

People with Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire have another characteristic of being restless and irritable. This kind of heat belongs to sub-health. Fever in summer is normal, but people with kidney yin deficiency have hot hands and soles even in winter, which makes people feel uncomfortable.

5. People with kidney yin deficiency have low immunity

For people with kidney yin deficiency, the "body fluid" mentioned in traditional Chinese medicine theory will be reduced, the body's nutrients will be insufficient, they will easily feel tired and their energy will be reduced. If this continues for a long time, the immune system of people with yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire will inevitably decline, and various symptoms will follow.

2. How does Yin deficiency and fire excess occur?

We know what Yin deficiency is, and we also understand the actual main manifestations of Yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire. So, what exactly causes the symptoms of Yin deficiency in our bodies? In fact, the so-called kidney yin deficiency means that the "yin" of the human body is damaged, and there will be many behaviors that damage yin in daily life, such as eating spicy food, eating hot pot, eating cold food and so on. But the most damaging thing is the mental exhaustion. This kind of consumption is mainly reflected in long-term life pressure and uncontrolled "staying up late".

So, how does staying up late often damage your yin? As we all know, when people lie down, the blood returns to the liver. When we are in bed, the blood will return to the liver. After 11 o'clock at night, the body begins to clean the blood and the liver begins to detoxify. If you don't sleep at this time at night, the blood will not return to the liver, and the liver will not be able to get a good repair, toxins will accumulate, and the liver yin will be damaged.

The kidney is the mother of the liver. When the liver is damaged and cannot be nourished immediately, the body will stimulate kidney qi to replenish it. If this continues for a long time, kidney deficiency will occur. The kidneys govern yin and fluid, and once kidney qi is damaged, kidney yin deficiency is inevitable. The liver is the mother of the world. Once the liver yin is damaged, the blood nourishing the heart will be insufficient. At this time, various cardiovascular diseases will occur, and more serious ones will cause heart disease and high blood pressure.

3. Three tips to prevent kidney yin deficiency

Tip 1: Supplement Yin-replenishing food

People with yin deficiency and excessive fire should eat less spicy food and damp and hot ingredients. Lamb is a hot food and beef is warm in nature, so it is not suitable to eat too much. It is also best not to eat ordinary grilled ingredients. Ingredients such as white fungus, yam, ophiopogon japonicus, pears, etc. can be supplemented more.

Here, I strongly recommend two classic ingredients. Friends who like desserts can usually drink some rock sugar lily and lotus seed soup, because lotus seeds taste slightly bitter and enter the heart meridian. Eating lotus seeds can purify the heart and remove heat, and can also nourish the lungs. Lilies have the effect of clearing away heat and replenishing deficiency, and are very good for people with yin deficiency and hyperactivity of fire. People who don't like desserts can drink lotus seed lily lean meat soup, 20 grams each of lotus seeds and lily, 3 jujubes, 100 grams of lean pork, and boil or stew in water.

Tip 2: Take fresh fruits to nourish the body

Chinese medicine believes that sour and sweet can transform yin, so fresh fruits with a sweet smell, such as pomegranates, red grapes and other fresh fruits can nourish yin, while melons, cucumbers, eggplants, loofahs, etc. are all cold fruits and vegetables, and are also suitable for people with yin deficiency and excessive fire. However, it should be noted that this kind of cold food should not be eaten too much, otherwise it will damage the stomach and intestines, which will be a loss of the big picture.

Tip 3: Moxibustion to regulate the human body

For people with yin deficiency and excess fire, it is a very good idea to choose moxa to regulate their bodies. Some people may ask here: mugwort is a purely yang thing, isn't moxa used to replenish yin and yang? In fact, friends who have experience in health care moxibustion know that moxibustion can have dual effects. For people with yang deficiency, moxibustion can replenish yang with yin, while for people with kidney yin deficiency, moxibustion can nourish yin. However, people with kidney yin deficiency may experience symptoms of getting angry when they first start moxibustion, but as long as they persist, moxibustion will improve the overall condition and promote the harmony of yin and yang.

When actually performing moxibustion on acupoints, you can purposefully choose acupoints that replenish yin. The Huangdi Neijing states: "Sanyinjiao and Taixi acupoints replenish the body's original yin. If water is abundant, the pot will not move. Therefore, the classics say: Strengthen the master of water to treat the sun." Yongquan acupoint is the starting and ending point of the spleen meridian. Through moxibustion, we can guide the water of the spleen meridian to extinguish internal fire and achieve the effect of guiding fire back to the origin. Moxibustion at Sanyinjiao acupoint can invigorate the spleen and eliminate dampness, regulate menstruation, and is especially effective for women. In addition, everyone can choose some lower limb acupoints according to their own actual situation, such as Taichong acupoint, the original acupoint of the liver meridian, as well as Gongsun acupoint, Zusanli acupoint, Shangqiu acupoint and other acupoints as moxibustion acupoint plans.
