Symptoms of urinary tract infection in women

Urinary tract infection is a common inflammatory disease in women. Although this disease is not common and frequent, once you have it, you need to take it seriously and treat it as soon as possible. Because if you are not careful, the condition will be aggravated, causing greater harm and burden. What are the symptoms of a urinary tract infection? Let us take a look at the specific performance today.

1. Symptoms of chronic urethritis:

1. Burning pain in the urethra, frequent urination, urgency, and even difficulty urinating during urination.

2. In chronic urethritis, urethral secretions decrease, with only itching or a crawling sensation. The irritation of urination is not as obvious as in the acute phase, and some patients may be asymptomatic.

2. Symptoms of acute urethritis:

1. Acute urethritis causes burning pain, frequent urination and urgency in the urethra during urination. In severe cases, urethral spasm may occur. Urine examination showed pus cells and red blood cells. In chronic urethritis, urethral secretions gradually decrease, or only a small amount of serous secretions can be seen at the urethral opening during the first urination in the early morning.

2. Urinary irritation symptoms are no longer as obvious as in the acute phase, and some patients may be asymptomatic.

3. Urethritis can spread directly to the bladder or prostate and cause cystitis. During the healing process of urethral inflammation, fibrosis can cause urethral stenosis.

3. Symptoms of non-gonococcal urethritis:

1. Urethral symptoms: Symptoms are usually delayed. Most patients with non-gonococcal urethritis experience symptoms such as urinary pain and urethral itching. Therefore, it is recommended that women in this situation should get checked early and receive targeted treatment based on the cause.

2. Vaginal symptoms: Patients with non-gonococcal urethritis mainly show symptoms such as inflammation and erosion of the cervix, increased secretions, vaginal and vulvar itching, and lower abdominal discomfort. Therefore, women are reminded to actively seek treatment after becoming ill, which is beneficial to their health.

3. Non-gonococcal urethral secretions are less, thin, mucous or mucopurulent. If you do not urinate for a long time (such as when you wake up in the morning), a small amount of light secretions may overflow from the urethra. Sometimes the only manifestation is a scab blocking the urethra or staining underwear in the morning. During the examination, the anterior urethra needs to be squeezed from back to front to allow a small amount of secretions to overflow from the urethral opening. Sometimes the patient has symptoms but no secretions, or sometimes the patient has no symptoms but has secretions.

4. Trichomonas urethritis:

It is a urethritis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. Trichomonas urethritis is also a sexually transmitted disease and is often infected at the same time as gonorrhea. Symptoms: Increased vaginal discharge, which is serous or purulent, thin in texture, contains small bubbles, has a fishy smell, and causes pain during sexual intercourse. In severe cases, the infection may cause itching and burning sensation in the vagina, vulva, and inner thighs.

5. Fungal urethritis:

It is an inflammatory lesion of the urethra caused by fungi, usually in the skin, colon, vagina and other parts. Symptoms: increased vaginal discharge, itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina, painful urination, redness and edema around the vulva, and various changes in the epidermis.

Urethritis is dangerous if not treated in time

Some people say that urethritis is a minor problem and can be cured by taking a few pills. This is not true because taking a few pills may alleviate the symptoms of urethritis but it is impossible to cure it completely. If urethritis is not treated in time, it will damage the adjacent normal tissue structures and cause ascending infection. Many women go to pharmacies blindly to buy medicine after suffering from urethritis. Not only does the disease not get cured, but it becomes more serious. It not only delays the best time for treatment but also makes it difficult to get regular treatment later.

If urinary tract infection is not treated in time, it can easily lead to the spread and spread of the disease, which can easily turn into chronic urethritis. At the same time, various complications will occur, causing greater harm to the body. It is recommended that everyone go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible, and keep toiletries separate from those of family members to avoid infection.
