Will left adnexal cyst affect pregnancy?

Will left adnexal cyst affect pregnancy?

Many women suffer from cysts. Some develop cysts in the cervix, some in the uterus, and some in the adnex. Most people know that if the cyst in the cervix or uterus is too large, it will affect pregnancy. Therefore, if you want to get pregnant, it is better to treat the cyst first before getting pregnant. So, will the discovery of a small cyst on the appendix affect pregnancy?

Left adnexal cyst is a common benign tumor of the female reproductive organ, which is called "stone mass" or "intestinal cyst" in traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of adnexal cysts is mainly due to weak internal organs, strain on qi and blood, excessive emotions, invasion of wind, cold and dampness, blood stasis during menstruation and childbirth, which leads to weak kidney yang, stagnation of qi due to cold, dysfunction of yin fluid distribution, phlegm and blood stasis, or retention of phlegm and fluid with qi stagnation, or numbness, day by day decline of yang qi, stagnation of yin, and increasing size.

1. If adnexal cysts have destroyed the endocrine balance, they will interfere with the normal secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation, affecting women's pregnancy.

2. If the adnexal cyst develops into a malignant lesion, it will lead to the destruction of most of the ovarian tissue, causing ovarian dysfunction, resulting in anovulation, and adhesion to the surrounding tissues, affecting pregnancy.

3. Generally, when adnexal cysts grow too fast or too large, they will damage women’s ovarian function and affect pregnancy.

4. If the adnexal cyst ruptures, it can cause necrosis of ovarian tissue, ovarian dysfunction, and ovarian failure to ovulate, affecting pregnancy.

If the cyst is larger than 5 cm in diameter or affects pregnancy, surgical treatment is generally required. For surgical treatment, you can consider hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, which can minimize the trauma to the uterus.

The hazards of cysts in the adnex are the same as those of cysts in other parts of the female uterus. If the cyst is too large, it will affect the female's conception. If a woman is already pregnant, she may suffer miscarriage or premature birth. Therefore, if an adnexal cyst appears before pregnancy, it must be treated before pregnancy; if an adnexal cyst appears after pregnancy, it is necessary to pay attention to observation and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment.
