What are the dangers of multiple cervical cysts?

It is a very common phenomenon that women suffer from gynecological diseases nowadays. There are many types of gynecological diseases. In addition to some common gynecological inflammations, there are also many female gynecological cysts, especially cervical cysts. You may not have some specific understanding of multiple cervical cysts. Today, let me introduce to you some common knowledge about multiple cervical cysts so that women can understand it.

First, let’s talk about what multiple cervical cysts are. Multiple cervical cysts mean that in the process of gradual healing of cervical erosion, the new squamous epithelium covers the opening of the cervical gland duct or extends into the gland duct, causing blockage of the gland duct opening. The cyst formed by the proliferation and retention of connective tissue around the glandular duct is called cervical nabothian cyst.

Then as for the causes of multiple cervical cysts, multiple cervical cysts are generally divided into two types: congenital multiple cervical cysts and acquired multiple cervical cysts. The former originates from the mesonephric duct and paramesonephric duct, and generally occurs on the posterior wall or fundus of the uterus; the latter is mostly secondary to benign diseases or develops from the interstitial cells of the serosa.

Finally, I would like to remind everyone of the symptoms of multiple cervical cysts. The clinical manifestations of multiple cervical cysts are not very obvious. During examination, you can see multiple bluish-white cysts of varying sizes (not purple) protruding from the surface of the cervix. They contain mucus, and the small ones are as big as rice grains and the large ones are as big as corn kernels. Some can grow very large, protruding from the surface of the cervix and even reaching the vaginal opening. The roots are connected to the cervix by a pedicle, and are often accompanied by cervical hypertrophy.

Many times, the symptoms of some diseases are very similar, but the consequences are often different, so if some symptoms appear, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

Cysts are a disease that can be large or small. If they are not treated in time, the condition is likely to worsen and develop into cancer. If they become cancerous, it will be very dangerous and difficult to treat, and it may be life-threatening. Therefore, when you find some gynecological changes, you must go to the hospital for some professional examinations in time.
