How to quickly relieve menstrual back pain

Low back pain during menstruation is one of the symptoms. The pain makes women feel uncomfortable and has a great impact on their food, clothing, housing, transportation and work. Therefore, it is important to find ways to relieve low back pain. So what should women do if they have back pain during menstruation?

Tip 1: Apply hot compress.

Lie flat on your back, place a hot and damp towel (watertight) on the painful part of your waist and the sacrum slightly below, then place a hand warmer on top, apply heat for about 10 minutes, and then apply heat on both sides of your waist for 10 minutes each.

Tip 2: Supplement potassium and iron.

Potassium can relieve mood, suppress pain, prevent infection, and reduce excessive blood loss during menstruation. Supplement foods rich in copper, such as fish, animal liver, egg yolk and so on.

Tip three: lightly press the acupoints.

If women experience lower back pain during their menstrual period, they can gently press the Hegu point. The actual acupoint location and pressing method: Close your ring finger and thumb, and you can see a protruding muscle. The highest point of this protruding muscle is the Hegu point. Whenever you have time every day, use the thumb of one hand to gently press the Hegu point on the other hand. Press lightly each time, hold for about 5 seconds, release, and repeat. Repeat this process for 3 minutes.

Tip 4: Massage.

1. Palm pressure on the lumbar sacral area: Lie prone and press your palms together on the painful intervertebral disc until no pain is caused. One inhalation and one exhalation counts as one time. Do this 10 to 15 times.

2. Massage the waist and back: Rub your palms together to warm them up, then place them on the back of your waist and massage left and right for 5 times until the area becomes moist and hot. Keep your palms on the waist for 3 minutes. When doing it, the posture is gentle and the breathing is natural. Under the correct guidance of the concept, the posture and breathing are gradually coordinated with each other.

3. Rub the muscle knots: Use the tip of your thumb to carefully touch the waist and sacrum. If you find any painful lumps, press them with your fingertips and rub them for 1 minute.

Tips: Don't hit your waist hard during menstruation. Hitting the waist and back will further swell the pelvis and accelerate blood flow, resulting in prolonged menstruation, which will make the waist pain worse.
