What is the biparietal diameter at 7 months of pregnancy?

During the pregnancy period, women usually need to carry out relevant examinations. The examination of fetal biparietal diameter is also one of the daily examination items for pregnant women. However, we have little knowledge of the examination data, and we are usually confused about the examination data. So what is the normal biparietal diameter of a seven-month fetus? How much is the biparietal diameter of a seven-month fetus?

What is the biparietal diameter of a seven-month-old fetus?

The standard for biparietal diameter of a seven-month (28-week) fetus: The mean biparietal diameter of the fetus is 7.24±0.65. The biparietal diameter of the fetus refers to the length of the widest part between the upper and lower sides of the fetus's head, also known as the "great transverse diameter of the head." Also known as BPD, doctors often use it to observe the growth and development of children, determine whether there is cephalopelvic disproportion, and complete delivery of pregnant women.

At full term, it should be 9.3 cm or above. According to general regularity, after the fifth month of pregnancy, it is basically consistent with the pregnancy phase. In other words, the BPD is about 7.0 cm at the 28th week of pregnancy (7th month), about 8.0 cm at the 32nd week of pregnancy (8th month), and so on. After the eighth month of pregnancy, an average increase of about 0.2 cm per week is normal. When the due date cannot be determined based on CRL in the early stage, it is usually predicted based on BPD. After the middle and late stages, it is usually necessary to accurately measure this data when determining the baby's weight.

Using the fetal biparietal diameter to judge the growth size of a child is a piece of data with reference value. During labor, the largest diameter of the fetal head passing through the birth canal is the fetal biparietal diameter, and the shortest diameter for the fetus to pass through the birth canal is the pelvic thickness diameter. Therefore, if the fetal biparietal diameter exceeds the pelvic thickness diameter, whether the baby can be delivered naturally is a problem. The final choice also depends on the pregnant woman's pelvis and the size of the baby at full term.

What are the common problems in seven months of pregnancy?

1. When pregnant women are defecating, their center of gravity will be unstable and their eyes will not be able to see their feet. They must be especially careful when going up and down stairs. During pregnancy, they should reduce the frequency of going up and down stairs and use elevators as much as possible. Pay attention to your own schedule and lifestyle, and any behavior that may affect the baby should be stopped immediately.

2. During the pregnancy period, if the pregnant mother is exposed to excessive external stimulation, there is a risk of premature birth. Vigorous exercise should be avoided, and postures that compress the abdomen are not suitable. The object that is not moving should not force itself.

3. When leg cramps occur, you do not need to stand for a long time and do not need to wear bandages on your lower body. This is because the pregnant woman's abdomen becomes heavy and she will feel tired after walking for a while. Resting with her feet raised can avoid this problem. If varicose veins occur, stretch stockings should be worn to relieve symptoms.

4. Pregnant women should still pay attention to taking in balanced nutrients in their diet, especially foods rich in high-quality protein and iron. If the human body digests and absorbs too much water and salt, it is likely to cause pregnancy toxemia, so it must be strictly controlled. During pregnancy, constipation may occur. In order to avoid constipation, you should drink milk and water in the morning, and eat more fruits and vegetables rich in cellulose. Also, during pregnancy check-ups, be sure to do another anemia test.
