How to regulate amenorrhea caused by polycystic ovary

How to regulate amenorrhea caused by polycystic ovary

In traditional Chinese medicine, it refers to terms such as "late menstruation", "amenorrhea", and "infertility". It is related to factors such as insufficient kidney essence, deficiency of Qi and blood, disorder of Chong and Ren meridians, stagnation of liver qi, and spleen deficiency and phlegm dampness.

1. Weight loss method: This method focuses on increasing exercise to reduce weight, because of the endocrine and metabolic disorders caused by obesity. Then losing weight can effectively restore endocrine system gradually. In this way, after the ovulation period is normal, the chance of pregnancy will greatly increase, and polycystic ovary will gradually subside.

2. Insulin resistance method: Relieving insulin resistance can increase SHBG, leading to a decrease in the level of male hormones, and can effectively treat polycystic ovary and infertility caused by excessive male hormones.

3. Clomiphene drug therapy: It competes with endogenous estrogen at the hypothalamic-pituitary level for protein kinase, inhibits the negative feedback of estrogen, increases the pulse frequency of GnRH metabolism, and thus regulates the metabolism ratio of LH and FSH. This will increase the ovulation rate. However, this drug has side effects, such as abdominal discomfort, decreased vision, rash, hair loss, etc.

4. Gonadotropin drug therapy: It is mainly used for patients with endogenous pituitary gonadotropin and decreased estrogen secretion. However, this drug has more side effects than clomiphene and has a significant stimulation to the uterus and ovaries.

5. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone therapy: It can promote the release of FSH and LH from the pituitary gland, but long-term use will make the kinase of pituitary cells insensitive, resulting in a decrease in gonadotropin, thereby reducing the production of ovarian estrogen.

6. Bilateral uterine and ovarian wedge removal therapy: remove part of the uterus and ovaries, remove the excess androgen produced by the uterus and ovaries, and correct the disorder of the hypothalamic pituitary-pituitary-uterine and ovarian axis. However, the location of removal and the amount of tissue removed are related to the efficacy, and the efficiency varies. This method has a high recurrence rate after surgery.

7. Chinese medicine conditioning method: This method of treating polycystic ovary is more traditional, but it is safe and has no side effects. The doctor will give you a prescription based on your specific situation. You must persist in taking Chinese medicine and return for a follow-up visit every once in a while to ensure that the doctor can accurately grasp your condition.

What should I pay attention to if I have polycystic ovary and no menstruation?

1. Maintain a positive attitude

Some patients develop amenorrhea due to mental stress, anxiety, worry, and changes in daily living environment, which lead to an imbalance in the central nervous system and the hypothalamus-pituitary gland. Therefore, we should pay attention to emotional regulation, maintain a good mood, cultivate the ability to withstand setbacks and adapt to changes, and avoid unnecessary psychological trauma. Only by stimulating the mind can the Qi wheel be made smooth, and when Qi flows, blood circulates, thus avoiding the occurrence of amenorrhea.

2. Healthy diet

First, avoid overeating and overdrinking; second, avoid high-fat, oily and greasy food, because people with plump body and obesity are prone to amenorrhea; third, avoid raw, cold and sour foods. According to traditional Chinese medicine, cold can cause poor blood circulation and cause amenorrhea and poor menstruation. Sour products have astringent properties and can aggravate the condition.

3. Avoid cold

Going out in the rain, taking a cold bath, wearing thin clothing, living in a damp and cold environment, stepping on dew when getting up in the morning, etc. can all lead to cold and blood stasis, causing amenorrhea. Especially in severe winter, you must never freeze yourself in pursuit of perfection and beauty.

4. Husband and wife should have a moderate sex life

Normal sexual life is preferably twice a week. Excessive sexual life will damage the kidneys, resulting in loss of liver and kidney essence, and gradually cause amenorrhea.
