How to monitor ovulation more accurately

How to monitor ovulation more accurately

Ovulation is a physiological phenomenon that occurs once a month in women during their growth period. Many women hope to be able to grasp their ovulation period, and hope to better arrange their daily life and work by grasping the ovulation period. In fact, it is not difficult to know your ovulation period. There are many ways to detect ovulation period. This article will introduce in detail the three most accurate ways to measure ovulation.

Method 1: Ovulation temperature

When measuring accurately, you need to place the electronic thermometer under the tongue for 5 minutes. Do not measure the temperature under the armpit as it will be greatly affected by the room temperature and may result in deviations.

This is because a woman's body temperature during ovulation is not constant, but it changes periodically during a physiological cycle along with the ovulation period. Once you understand this pattern, you will know when your ovulation period is.

Accurately measuring ovulation temperature is a non-invasive, easy-to-operate, and cost-free test. However, ovulation temperature will be affected by various factors such as sleep quality, medication, diet, disease, etc., so ovulation temperature alone cannot accurately judge ovulation status. And it is inconvenient to continuously and accurately measure several menstrual cycles.

Method 2: Urine ovulation test strips

Just as plants cannot grow without nutrients, the perfection of each egg cell requires a growth hormone: luteinizing hormone (LH).

LH not only exists in the blood, but also enters the urine with the body's metabolism.

When the LH in the blood reaches its peak, the LH in the urine will also reach its peak.

At this time, if you use urine to test ovulation test paper, the test paper will become positive, which means it is the ovulation period.

Measurement of urine ovulation test strips: 15:00-20:00 noon is the most effective time for measurement, which can detect the highest LH value in 90% of ovulation cycles.

If you don't want to test every day, you can start from the first day of your menstrual period and start testing around the 11th day, and continue measuring for 6 days. You can usually detect the ovulation period.

However, not every woman ovulates in the middle or late period of her menstrual cycle, and a positive result may not appear within the 6-day testing period.

Method 3: Intravaginal B-ultrasound test

Intravaginal B-ultrasound testing can not only detect whether there are mature follicles in the uterus and ovaries on both sides, but also measure the size of the mature follicles, the thickness of the uterine wall, and even directly observe which side of the uterus and ovary is in the ovulation period.

If an egg is present during vaginal B-ultrasound examination on a certain day, and the egg disappears the next day, and at the same time corpus luteum and blood accumulation in the uterus and duodenal fossa are present, it indicates the ovulation period.

Although vaginal B-ultrasound detection is relatively accurate, it usually requires 3-4 dynamic detections per cycle, or even more, which requires time and money. Therefore, it is generally used when doing test tubes. It is not recommended for women who are preparing for pregnancy to choose this method to monitor ovulation.
