Placenta reaches the cervix

Placenta reaches the cervix

During the period before and after the due date, women often experience false labor, which means that the fetus will move into the pelvis in the woman's uterus. This movement is to help women give birth. It is also for this reason that the placenta will reach the cervical opening. After reaching the cervical opening, it is particularly easy for a sister to bleed in the late pregnancy. So what should I do if the placenta reaches the cervical opening?

1. Placenta previa refers to the placenta being attached to the lower segment of the uterus and even reaching or covering the internal os of the cervix, and its position is lower than the fetal presenting part. It is a serious complication of late pregnancy and the most common cause of bleeding in late pregnancy.

Suggestions: It is recommended to pay attention to rest. Premature birth is prone to occur. If vaginal bleeding occurs, it is recommended to seek treatment in the hospital to preserve the fetus and extend the gestational age as much as possible to increase the perinatal survival rate.

2. If the placenta directly covers the internal os of the cervix and is lower than the presenting part of the fetus, it is called placenta previa. Yours is marginal placenta previa. The clinical manifestation of placenta previa is unprovoked painless vaginal bleeding in late pregnancy. Marginal placenta previa bleeds later, usually at 37-38 weeks of gestation or after labor. A small amount of bleeding can lead to postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum infection, placenta accreta, and amniotic fluid embolism. For the fetus, it can easily cause premature birth, intrauterine growth retardation and distress. Of course, this is all complete placenta previa. Your case is not so serious because it does not cover the cervical os. But it is recommended to observe more

3. The position of the placenta is fixed and cannot be changed. After recovery, you need to avoid sexual intercourse and strenuous exercise. You can have a cesarean section in advance in the late pregnancy.

I hope the above can provide reference for patients and their families. The mother should maintain a good mood and go out for a walk and breathe fresh air when she is stable. This is good for both the baby and the mother. The mother should not eat irritating food or do excessive movements at this time. I hope every mother can give birth to a healthy and lovely baby.
