Performance of incisional pregnancy after pregnancy

Performance of incisional pregnancy after pregnancy

In daily life, when it comes to incisional pregnancy, many people may not know that there is no special manifestation of incisional pregnancy, but people with incisional pregnancy will undergo caesarean section during delivery. If a surgical incision pregnancy is not discovered in time, miscarriage or even heavy bleeding may occur, endangering the life of the mother. Therefore, if you suffer from a surgical incision pregnancy, you must pay special attention during pregnancy.

1. What is incisional pregnancy?

When the embryo implants in the lower uterine segment, i.e. the scar of the previous cesarean section, it is called lower uterine segment cesarean section scar pregnancy, or simply incisional pregnancy.

It is generally believed that the cause of this disease is endometrial damage caused by various surgical operations, such as curettage, cesarean section, myomectomy, metroplasty, hysteroscopy and even manual placental removal.

Patients with incisional pregnancy have no special clinical symptoms, but every patient undergoes a cesarean section. Patients will also experience amenorrhea, uterine enlargement, and elevated blood HCG levels as early pregnancy symptoms.

Ultrasound is a reliable method for diagnosing this disease. Pregnancy in the area of uterine scar has more specific imaging manifestations. The sonographic characteristics are that the intrauterine gestational sac or placental tissue is low in position, located in the scar of the lower uterine incision, with no boundary with the incision muscle layer, abundant blood flow between the gestational sac and the incision, the anterior wall of the lower uterine segment has moderate echo, uneven echo, blood flow can be seen reaching the serosa, the gestational sac is implanted in the incision of the anterior wall of the lower segment, and there is no abnormality in the cervix.

2. What to do if you have a surgical incision pregnancy

Hysterectomy scar pregnancy is a rare condition that is more difficult to treat. It can usually be diagnosed by B-ultrasound. The treatment is highly individualized and needs to be determined based on many factors, including the site of the disease, the depth of the gestational sac's invasion of the uterine wall, the size of the lesion, whether the patient has the desire to have another child, and her economic situation.

Incisional pregnancy can be treated surgically. In fact, pregnancy at the uterine incision is a rare ectopic pregnancy. In recent years, because more people have chosen cesarean section, the number of such patients has increased clinically.

If the patient encounters the above situation, if it is not discovered in time, the continuous growth of the embryo may cause serious consequences such as uterine rupture and heavy bleeding. Even if such a pregnant woman wants to terminate the pregnancy through abortion, she may experience heavy bleeding and even need to have a hysterectomy. When performing an abortion, there is a high possibility of uterine perforation, heavy bleeding, and even life-threatening conditions.

For the treatment of medical abortion, mifepristone is a new anti-progesterone drug that acts at the receptor level. It binds to the progesterone receptor in the body and blocks the effect of progesterone, thereby causing decidual cell degeneration and necrosis, making it easier for the embryo or placenta to separate from the uterine wall and increasing the sensitivity of the uterus to misoprostol.

3. Precautions after incisional pregnancy

If a pregnant woman has had a surgical incision pregnancy before, doctors generally recommend avoiding pregnancy as much as possible. She also needs to pay attention to regular check-ups. If she plans to continue the pregnancy, she can choose hysteroscopic uterine repair surgery for observation.

For specific situations, you can go to the hospital to consult a doctor. Incisional scar pregnancy is prone to heavy bleeding and even life-threatening because the uterine wall at the scar is thinner and cannot maintain growth. There are several treatment methods, but success cannot be guaranteed.

Patients of this type should pay more attention to their diet, drink more water, eat more fruits, and eat more foods that are good for pregnant women. If they want to have a baby, it is better to wait until the uterus recovers for two or three years before having a baby. If they want to have a baby again after a caesarean section, because the uterus already has scars, if it does not recover well, serious complications such as uterine rupture are likely to occur during pregnancy. Therefore, it is better to wait until the body recovers before having a baby.

It is recommended not to have a picky diet before pregnancy. Eat as wide and varied a diet as possible. Eat more high-protein and high-quality protein foods and more vegetables and fruits. Don't drink alcohol or coffee. Quit smoking. Avoid contact with toxic substances and radiation sources. Quit smoking, drinking and tea, prevent colds, etc. Avoid spicy food. You should also keep a good attitude at ordinary times and maintain a happy mood that is relaxed and stress-free. In this way, it will not affect the recovery of the body. Do not go to humid places. If you must go for a reason, be careful not to stay too long, otherwise it will not be good for your body.

4. How to conceive to avoid incision pregnancy

Incisional pregnancy is more dangerous. Once it causes heavy intrauterine or vaginal bleeding, it becomes very dangerous and the only way to save your life is to remove the uterus if necessary. Incisional pregnancy usually causes heavy bleeding within 3 months. Therefore, once there are signs of early pregnancy, you should go to the hospital for an ultrasound diagnosis as soon as possible. The incision scar cannot provide enough nutrition to the fetus.

There have been no reports of full-term pregnancies so far. If you decide to have an abortion, do not rashly perform a uterine curettage, otherwise it will cause heavy bleeding and is very dangerous. In order to avoid the occurrence of incisional pregnancy, pregnant mothers who have the conditions should try to choose natural childbirth; it is absolutely forbidden to get pregnant again within 2 years after a cesarean section. If you experience abnormal and heavy vaginal bleeding, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible. Therefore, it is recommended to check the specific situation as soon as possible. The clinical manifestations of this disease are not specific. All patients have a history of cesarean section, amenorrhea, uterine enlargement and other normal early pregnancy manifestations.
