There is always a reason for abnormal leucorrhea, and different diseases cause different abnormal leucorrhea:

1. Colorless, transparent or light yellow mucous leucorrhea:

The appearance is similar to normal leucorrhea during ovulation, but the amount is larger. It is common after the use of estrogen drugs.

2. Purulent leucorrhea:

It is yellow or yellow-green in color and has a foul odor. Caused by infection, it is common in vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, chronic cervicitis, endometritis, etc.

Generally, the secretion of estrogen reaches its peak between two menstrual periods (equivalent to the ovulation period). Excessive estrogen stimulates the cervical glands to secrete more mucus, so the leucorrhea at this time is abundant, transparent or a little yellow, sticky like egg white and can be pulled into threads, and the vulva feels moist. After the ovulation of the follicle, progesterone increases and inhibits the secretion of cervical mucus. At this time, the leucorrhea is less in amount and thicker.
