What to do if welding hits your eyes

Hitting the eyes by electric welding is the most common problem. If you don't pay attention to the correct handling and solution, the impact will be relatively large. At this time, if there are breastfeeding women around you, you can take a little milk and drop it on the eyes, or apply ice.

1. If you happen to know a woman who is breastfeeding, you can take a little bit of breast milk and drip it on your eyes. Although this method is a bit difficult, it is the most effective, especially for some novice welders who often use this method.

2. If there is no female friend who is breastfeeding around you, you can prepare a towel, wrap ice cubes in the towel and apply ice compress to your eyes. If there are no ice cubes, you can also soak the towel in cold water and apply cold compress. This mainly plays a role in reducing swelling and relieving pain. When you are hit in the eyes by electric welding, you actually don't feel any pain. It usually takes until night for the pain to show up, so don't take it lightly.

3. If you are hit in the eyes by electric welding and have applied ice, but the pain is still unbearable, you should go to the hospital for treatment and take some painkillers under the doctor's guidance. Those with heat-clearing and detoxifying effects are better. Then protect your eyes more in daily life, close your eyes and rest often. It is also best to wear sunglasses when going out, and try not to expose your eyes to light.

It is possible to get hit in the eyes by electric welding, but in order to avoid damaging our eyes, we should try to avoid construction sites or stores where electric welding is carried out. Welders doing welding work must also take protective measures to avoid injuries.
