Symptoms of urethritis in women

If a woman is affected by urethritis, she must actively seek treatment. She will usually experience symptoms such as fever, chills, headache, increased vaginal discharge, pain and itching in the vulva, etc. Therefore, these symptoms must be taken seriously and actively treated.

1. Urinary tract irritation, i.e. symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and discomfort during urination

These symptoms may vary in severity in different patients. Patients with acute inflammation often have obvious urinary tract irritation symptoms; however, in the elderly, children and patients with chronic urinary tract infection, the urinary tract irritation symptoms are usually mild, such as mild urinary frequency, urgency, or discomfort during urination.

2. Systemic poisoning symptoms, such as fever, chills, headache, etc.

It is mainly seen in patients with upper urinary tract infection, especially acute urinary tract infection and patients with urinary tract obstruction. Routine urine examination may show white blood cells, red blood cells or even protein. A blood test may show an increase in white blood cells. Urine bacterial culture was positive.

3. Female urethritis symptoms are atypical

Many women mistakenly think that these are symptoms of gynecological diseases and do not take them seriously. Common symptoms include: increased vaginal discharge, slight itching of the vulva, slight burning sensation when urinating, slight discomfort in the urethral opening, and those who go unnoticed for a long time may experience dull pain in the lower abdomen and menstrual disorders. If you have a gynecological inflammation that has not been cured for a long time, it is recommended to undergo tests for non-gonococcal urethritis and vaginitis to find out the cause and cure the disease.
