What is pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation training?

Childbirth is a very important event in a woman's life. After a successful childbirth, women will feel very happy, but in addition to happiness, some problems will also arise. Among them, pelvic floor muscle relaxation is a common problem that troubles women. Pelvic floor muscle relaxation can cause some harm, so it is very important to improve this situation in time. So what are some ways to help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles?

1. Electronic biofeedback: Utilizing bioengineering technology, bioinformatics principles, and relying on high-tech therapeutic devices, we develop personalized treatment plans. We use electrical stimulation of different frequencies, pulse widths, and intensities for different patients, and biofeedback modes with different effects. Combined with scene reflex training, we awaken damaged pelvic floor muscles, increase pelvic floor muscle strength and elasticity, and restore pelvic floor function to normal.

2. Functional electrical stimulation: The principle of treatment is to enhance the muscle contraction ability through neuromuscular stimulation, thereby increasing the strength and elasticity of the pelvic floor muscles, while reflexively inhibiting bladder excitation, so that urinary incontinence can be completely controlled.

3. Exercise therapy: ① Kegel training: Consciously perform autonomous contraction exercises on the pelvic floor muscle group, mainly the pubic-coccyx (i.e. levator ani muscle). Repeat the action of tightening the anus, with each contraction lasting no less than 3 seconds, then relax. Do this for 15-30 minutes as a set of exercises. Do 2-3 sets a day, and a course of treatment is 6-8 weeks. ② Use thera-band (elastic band, elastic ball, vibrator) for exercise.

4. Bladder training: Instruct patients to record their daily drinking and urination habits, fill out a bladder function training form, and consciously delay the urination interval, eventually reaching urination once every 2.5-3 hours, so that patients can learn to delay urination by suppressing urgency.

Some women may become obese after giving birth. At this time, they need to pay attention to controlling their weight, because obesity will also aggravate the relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles. Of course, there is no need to panic if you find that you have pelvic floor muscle relaxation. This kind of situation is very common after childbirth, and you can improve the situation by mastering the correct method.
