What are the clinical manifestations of polycystic ovary

The ovaries are the female reproductive organs. If there is a problem with the ovaries, it will not only affect one's own health, causing the skin to age rapidly and look unhealthy, but it will also affect fertility. Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine disorder that, if not treated promptly, may lead to complications such as endometrial cancer. Let's take a look at its clinical symptoms and what causes it.

Polycystic ovary is an endocrine disease in which the ovaries are enlarged and contain many small fluid-filled cysts, the level of androgen increases, and ovulation fails. The most notable feature is anovulation. The main manifestations are irregular menstrual cycles, amenorrhea, hirsutism, acne, obesity, infertility and other related symptoms. In severe cases, infertility may even occur due to ovulation dysfunction.

⑴ Menstrual disorders: infrequent menstruation, scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea, and in a few cases, menorrhagia.

⑵Excessive hair growth and obesity: often occur together, and the hair distribution tends to be masculine, such as increased hair on the upper lip, beside the nipples, midline of the abdomen, around the anus and on the limbs, and thick, dark pubic hair.

⑶Infertility: caused by menstrual disorders and anovulation. Occasionally, ovulation or corpus luteum is not healthy, and if pregnancy occurs, miscarriage is very likely.

⑷ Ovarian enlargement: Bilaterally symmetrical polycystic ovaries enlarge by 2 to 4 times, or 1/3 to 1/4 of the volume of the uterus is polycystic. 20%~30% does not increase.

The main reason is the excessive level of androgen under the influence of endocrine. Other reasons include:

1. Caused by endocrine disorders and high prolactin;

2. Long-term mental stress, drugs and diseases

3. Family genetic factors

4. Obese and hyperinsulinemia patients

5. Abnormal adrenal function

Female friends must pay attention to maintenance in their daily lives, as the ovaries are very important to women. In order to prevent polycystic ovary, you must pay attention to proper exercise, avoid catching cold frequently, stay away from humid environments, and maintain a happy mood. Patients with polycystic ovary should eat less sweets, less spicy and cold foods, drink more water, and eat less foods with high fat content.
