What is follicular cyst?

Many women are worried that abnormal ovulation may cause the follicles to not rupture but instead form cysts. What is going on? Some people also ask whether follicular cysts will affect fertility. The answer is yes. Follicular cysts will definitely affect pregnancy. After all, follicles secrete eggs, and the presence of cysts will inevitably affect the normal output of eggs. Therefore, solving this problem requires us to understand what exactly follicular cysts are.

Under normal physiological conditions, when the follicles develop into mature follicles, the average diameter does not exceed 1.5cm. If during the growth and development process, the follicle is closed or does not rupture, causing the accumulation of follicular fluid, the follicle will expand, and the diameter of the follicle will be between 1.5 and 2.5 cm, which is called a cystic follicle. If it is larger than 2.5 cm, it is called a follicular cyst.

Follicular cysts are formed due to degeneration of the follicular epithelium, hyperplasia and thickening of the connective tissue of the follicular wall, death of the oocyte, and unabsorbed or increased follicular fluid.

The blood vessels in the theca layer of the ovarian gland suddenly rupture for some reason, and blood enters the follicular cavity to form follicular hematoma. The hematoma is gradually absorbed, the blood cell components melt and disappear, and the fluid increases and accumulates to form a cyst. Inflammation causes the mature follicle to fail to rupture and ovulate, and the secretory fluid in the follicle is retained to form a cyst.

The follicle-stimulating hormone in the pituitary gonadotropin is over-secreted or the follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone are out of balance, resulting in the mature follicle not ovulating but continuing to grow or the atretic follicle incompletely degenerating and the granulosa cells still secreting fluid to form cysts.

You can use Guiling Xiaoliu Pills to fully absorb and shrink the cyst. If necessary, surgical treatment should be performed. The presence of a cyst in a mature follicle means that the egg is unusable even if it is mature.

After understanding what follicular cysts are, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of follicular cysts. Then going to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible is undoubtedly the best choice. I hope every woman can be healthy and resolve all kinds of gynecological diseases that cause great trouble as soon as possible. You must also relax yourself in your daily life.
