Why is my leucorrhea so thick?

Leucorrhea is a normal physiological characteristic that all women have. Leucorrhea is mainly a series of fluids secreted by the uterine glands and endometrium, which have a certain disinfecting and bactericidal effect on the vagina. Thick leucorrhea means that there are certain unhealthy factors in the female body. Let us now understand what is going on when leucorrhea is thick?

⒈ Trichomonas vaginitis: caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, it is a common vaginal disease that is prone to occur before and after menstruation. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge and vulvar itching, which may be accompanied by burning, pain, and dyspareunia. If combined with urinary tract infection, frequent urination and painful urination may occur. The secretion is purulent, grayish yellow, yellowish white or yellowish green, foamy and has a foul odor. Leucorrhea is foamy and has a foul smell, which is caused by the anaerobic fermentation of carbohydrates by Trichomonas. The main treatment drug is metronidazole, which can be applied systemically or topically. Men often have no symptoms after infection and can easily become a source of infection, so sexual partners should be treated at the same time.

2. Gonorrhea: A sexually transmitted disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, with purulent infection of the urogenital system as the main manifestation. Its incidence rate ranks first among sexually transmitted diseases in China. The main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, which is purulent and has a foul odor. Cephalosporin antibiotics can be used for treatment, and it is emphasized that sexual partners must be treated at the same time.

3. Cervical cancer or endometrial cancer: Both are common malignant lesions of the female reproductive tract. When combined with infection, vaginal discharge is often rice-soup-like or pus-bloody, with a foul odor, which is generally a manifestation of late-stage cancer.

The above are the main diseases that cause thick leucorrhea. The most serious one is cervical cancer, which is the most serious female reproductive disease and can also infect other parts of the body. Gonorrhea is what we call a sexually transmitted disease in our lives, so women’s gynecological diseases are also related to their spouses.
