What is the disease of yellowish leucorrhea

To be honest, women do have a lot of worries. Everyone has the trouble of menstruation. They feel physical and mental pain during the days of menstruation. It is even more worrying if their period does not come or does not come on time. In addition, women also have the trouble of leucorrhea. For unknown reasons, many women now have abnormal leucorrhea. The most common problems are yellow leucorrhea, excessive leucorrhea, thin or thick leucorrhea, etc. So today, let’s understand what disease yellowish leucorrhea means.

① Trichomonas vaginitis

Symptoms: Leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green, thin and thick, with a large amount of foam, accompanied by vulvar itching and a foul odor.

If a woman finds that the secretions on her underwear are yellow or yellow with light green, have foam and a strange smell, and there is a burning sensation in the vagina and itching of the vulva, it means that she has Trichomonas in her vagina. Trichomonas is a very tiny protozoan with flagella that cannot be seen with the naked eye and must be observed under a microscope. When a woman is infected with Trichomonas, her vagina will produce yellow-green foamy or rice bran-like leucorrhea with a foul odor.

When suffering from Trichomonas vaginitis, the change in the acidity and alkalinity of the vaginal environment will affect the motility of sperm. In addition, Trichomonas can devour sperm, and when suffering from Trichomonas vaginitis, the purulent secretions in the vagina increase significantly, and the secretions contain a large number of white blood cells, which will hinder the survival of sperm, reduce the number of sperm, and poor motility, which is very likely to cause infertility.

② Cervical erosion

Symptoms: Yellow leucorrhea, increased in volume, purulent, and mostly odorless.

Cervical erosion is caused by inflammatory stimulation, which causes the epithelial cells covering the surface of the cervix to fall off, while the columnar epithelial cells underneath protrude outward and replace the fallen epithelium. Because the capillaries of the columnar epithelium are exposed, the inflamed area appears bright red, so it is called cervical erosion, but it is not true erosion. Clinically, it is divided into simple, granular and papillary types according to the surface condition of the cervix. It is also divided into mild, moderate and severe degrees according to the ratio of the erosion area to the cervical surface.

Cervical erosion can cause infertility. When cervical erosion occurs, especially moderate or severe cervical erosion, cervical secretions will increase significantly, become thick in texture, and contain a large number of white blood cells. This will have an adverse effect on sperm motility, hinder sperm from entering the uterine cavity, and affect conception.

③Senior vaginitis

Symptoms: Yellow watery or purulent leucorrhea, increased leucorrhea with a foul odor, bloody leucorrhea, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen and vagina, and a burning sensation in the vagina.

Senile vaginitis is common in elderly women after menopause. It is caused by the decline of ovarian function, decreased estrogen levels, atrophy of the vaginal wall, thinning of the mucosa, decreased glycogen content in epithelial cells, increased pH value in the vagina, and reduced local resistance, making it easy for pathogenic bacteria to invade and multiply, causing inflammation.

④ Fungal vaginitis

Symptoms: Leucorrhea is yellow or white, typically in the shape of tofu dregs or curds, and is accompanied by vulvar itching. Most of the time, it is thick, but sometimes it can be thin and slightly smelly.

Women who are troubled by yellow leucorrhea now know what disease yellow leucorrhea means. Don't be shocked. The problem of yellow leucorrhea alone can be used to analyze the various diseases that women may contract, and it can also be judged according to different age groups. Therefore, the color of leucorrhea can diagnose whether a woman is healthy or not.
