Symptoms of nonspecific vaginitis

Symptoms of nonspecific vaginitis

There are many types of vaginitis, and the names of the various types of vaginitis come from the different types of bacteria that cause vaginitis. Therefore, different types of vaginitis are all similar, and most of the symptoms are similar, with only some being unique. Vaginitis is mostly caused by unclean hygiene. Let’s take a look at the symptoms and treatment methods of nonspecific vaginitis.

During the acute period, there may be a slight increase in body temperature, increased white blood cell count, general fatigue, a feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the lower abdomen, increased vaginal discharge that is purulent, serous or bloody, a burning sensation in the vagina, congestion of the vaginal mucosa visible through a speculum, sometimes with small superficial ulcers, and an alkaline pH in the vagina.

Vaginal discharge is grayish white, sticky, paste-like, uniform, non-purulent, and the amount is variable. The secretion has a high amine content and a fishy smell. During sexual intercourse or after activity, the release of amines is promoted, making the odor worse. Adding 10% potassium hydroxide to the secretion can release the amine smell. The pH value in vaginal secretions increases to 5.0-5.5, while the normal pH value is 3.7-4.5. Clue cells can be detected in smears of vaginal secretions.

1. General treatment

Actively treat and eliminate susceptible factors. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not wash it together with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

2. Change the pH of the vagina

The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain its self-cleaning function. The normal pH value of the human vagina is 3.7-4.5. Therefore, the feminine care solution with a weak acid formula of pH 4 is not only suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance, but also has an effect on the flora disorder that causes bacterial vaginosis. When going to the toilet, wipe the vulva with feminine hygiene wipes to keep it dry to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.

The above content is the symptoms and treatment methods of nonspecific vaginitis. From the above, we can know that unclean sanitary environment is the biggest cause of vaginitis. Therefore, women should pay more attention to their personal hygiene in normal times to effectively avoid the symptoms of vaginitis, and they need to pay more attention to this issue during the treatment process.
