Symptoms of menstrual disorders in women

Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon that every woman experiences every month, but the specific time of menstruation is not very stable. Sometimes menstruation does not occur for a long time. This is the so-called irregular menstruation. However, the concept of irregular menstruation is very broad. It refers to many abnormal conditions during the menstrual period. Let’s learn with the editor what irregular menstruation is, what causes it, and so on.

It manifests as abnormal menstrual cycle or bleeding volume, or abdominal pain and systemic symptoms before and during menstruation. The cause may be organic disease or functional disorder. Many systemic diseases such as blood diseases, hypertension, liver diseases, endocrine diseases, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, reproductive tract infection, tumors (such as ovarian tumors, uterine fibroids), etc. can cause it.

If the menstrual cycle is always more than 7 days early, or even occurs twice in one month, it is called premature menstruation. If it is only 3 to 5 days ahead of schedule and there are no other obvious symptoms, it is within the normal range. Occasionally, the menstrual period comes ahead of schedule, but it is not considered as an early menstrual period. Long-term early menstruation may be caused by local inflammation, tumors, developmental abnormalities, or endocrine disorders in the reproductive organs.

Early menstruation indicates the presence of potential disease. Long-term early menstruation can cause anemia in women, lead to miscarriage, affect pregnancy, etc., and should be treated promptly.

The length of the cycle varies from person to person, and about 7 days earlier or later is still within the normal range. However, if menstruation does not occur after more than 7 days, it is considered delayed menstruation. There are two reasons why your period is delayed:

1. Pregnancy; 2. The second is irregular menstruation. If this happens frequently, the cause should be checked, because delayed menstruation is often a precursor to disease and should be taken seriously.

If your period is delayed, the first thing to consider is whether you are pregnant. If you are not pregnant, you should check in time, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome (which will affect future pregnancy)

It is also possible to infer whether there are problems with the body through menstruation. Do you understand what kind of problems the different situations of irregular menstruation represented by the editor have sorted out above? If some women often have irregular menstruation, they should pay special attention to whether they have any diseases.
