The main causes of female infertility

Female infertility is caused by insufficient kidney essence or imbalance of Chong and Ren blood and Qi. Primary infertility (liver fails to descend) is caused by the inability of Qi to circulate, which in turn turns into fire and causes disharmony between Chong and Ren meridians. The obvious symptoms include infertility after marriage for many years, very little menstrual flow, which is like red bean paste at first and then bright red. There is a dull headache a week before each period. At present, the causes of female infertility can be roughly divided into the following categories.

1. Uterine and ovarian factors: As we all know, women must have ovulation to get pregnant. If the hormones are out of balance, it will not be possible to promote the egg cells to complete ovulation, which may lead to infertility. Medical research has found that approximately 10% to 15% of infertile couples are due to ovulation disorders in women. There are many clinical factors that lead to ovulation disorders, such as severe malnutrition, skin allergies, poor digestion, excessive weight loss, excessive work pressure, excessive strenuous exercise, exposure to chemical or radiation pollution, etc., all of which may lead to ovulation disorders.

2. Cervical factors: The cervix is the first passage for sperm to enter the uterus. Sperm must use cervical mucus as a medium to move and successfully pass through the cervical canal into the uterus. If there is a problem with the secretion volume, pH value or consistency of cervical mucus, male sperm will not be able to cross the cervix, which will also lead to infertility.

3. Uterine factors: All the sophisticated and complex endocrine changes, including the hypothalamus, pituitary glands and uterus and ovaries must function harmoniously to achieve the perfect reproductive effect. The androgen secreted by the ovaries acts on the uterine wall, causing it to proliferate and thicken, mainly to provide a rich growth environment for the combination of sperm and egg, allowing them to take root and grow. If there is something wrong with the reproductive endocrine system, it will affect the ovulation period, or the sperm and egg combination will not be able to implant the embryo normally.

4. Bilateral fallopian tube factor: If both fallopian tubes are blocked, sperm and egg cannot pass through smoothly, so pregnancy is naturally impossible, and there is even the worry of ectopic pregnancy. This factor accounts for 20%-30% of all infertility causes and can be said to be the most important cause of female infertility.
