Treatment of cervical hypertrophy and erosion

Treatment of cervical hypertrophy and erosion

Gynecological diseases are problems that plague the physical health and psychology of many women. Many women feel helpless and don’t know what to do when they know they have gynecological diseases. In fact, it is not difficult to treat gynecological diseases. You just need to go to a regular medical institution for diagnosis and follow the doctor's treatment advice. Let's learn about the treatment of cervical hypertrophy and erosion.

1. Overview

Cervical erosion and cervical hypertrophy are both types of chronic cervicitis, which includes cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, etc.; the main causes are chronic inflammatory stimulation, high hormone state, surgery, etc. The symptoms vary, such as an increase in leucorrhea, odor, itching, etc., and even contact bleeding when the cervix is eroded. Generally, people don’t know much about chronic cervix, and they hear more about cervical erosion and hypertrophy. Cervical erosion is mainly caused by the ectopic position of columnar epithelium, which can be seen during gynecological examination, and can be divided into mild, moderate, and severe. In layman's terms, it refers to the red area surrounding the cervical opening. Hypertrophy is mainly an increase in the volume of the cervix. If we have chronic cervicitis, how should we treat it? As follows:

2. Steps/Methods:

1. Inspection: If cervical erosion is seen with the naked eye, first do a colposcopy to observe the erosion area under a high-power microscope to see if there are any early lesions. The next step is cervical screening, such as liquid-based and HPV tests, which are usually done once a year. If there are no problems, you can observe. If there are abnormalities, such as suspected low-grade lesions, you can choose the following methods: *If you are not pregnant, you can choose to do multiple cervical biopsies and send them for pathological examination for further treatment. *You can also choose lipopolysaccharide surgery and send them for pathological examination afterwards. * If you are older, you can choose cone biopsy for cervical lesions, or surgery for more serious cases;

2. Treatment: There is actually no good way to treat cervical erosion and cervical hypertrophy, especially cervical hypertrophy. If there is chronic inflammation or vaginitis, the inflammation can be treated and repeated stimulation can be avoided. Generally, if there is no precancerous lesion in cervical hypertrophy, it can be observed and no treatment is needed. Unless there are special circumstances, there are many ways to treat erosion, such as focused ultrasound, liposuction and other methods.

3. Complications after treatment: *Endometriosis: For example, subcutaneous bleeding spots in the cervix caused by LIP surgery may easily cause abnormal bleeding before and after menstruation. *Scarred cervix: Generally, surgery may cause uterine scarring, which will affect the contraction of the birth canal during normal delivery, and cesarean section may be necessary. *Cervical stenosis: mainly caused by small amount of menstruation and obstruction. Can be separated by glue operation. *Burns, scalds, etc. For example, Lip surgery is a high-frequency radio wave, which may cause burns; these complications are only possible, not everyone will experience them;

3. Notes:

Pay attention to hygiene, starting from every day. If there is no inflammation, just wash with warm water. If there is inflammation, you can give medicine to clean it; but it cannot be used for a long time; do not seek medical treatment blindly, pay attention to the method, and make a comprehensive consideration; if there is cervical erosion or hypertrophy, do not panic, do a good job of screening.
