How to treat postmenopausal vaginal bleeding

To understand how to treat postmenopausal vaginal bleeding, you must know the causes of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. This phenomenon mainly occurs in middle-aged and elderly women. There are many reasons, including whether it is a tumor, and of course inflammation. In elderly women, endometrial cancer is more likely to occur. When this happens, you must seek medical attention in time, follow the doctor's treatment plan, cooperate with the doctor's treatment, and be hospitalized when necessary. Here are my personal opinions on treatment.

If you experience vaginal bleeding after menopause, do not be careless. You should seek medical attention promptly, find out the cause, and receive targeted treatment. During routine gynecological examinations, secretions can be collected for testing for Trichomonas and Candida, and it is best to take a cervical cytology smear. Ultrasonography is routinely performed to check the thickness and echogenicity of the intima. A diagnostic curettage was performed to confirm endometrial hyperplasia. If there are cervical polyps, polypectomy should be performed under sterile conditions and the specimen should be sent for pathological examination. If endometrial inflammation occurs, attention should be paid to anti-infection treatment. For patients with unclear diagnosis by ultrasound and DCT, hysteroscopy and biopsy are recommended to confirm the diagnosis.

Once diagnosed with endometrial cancer, patients should be hospitalized for treatment. The treatment is comprehensive treatment with surgery as the main approach. For patients in the advanced stage and those who cannot tolerate surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy are used. Once diagnosed, patients with other malignant tumors should also be hospitalized for surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Treatment of senile vaginitis is with topical or systemic estrogen supplementation and vaginal metronidazole. Cervical polyps were treated with polypectomy and sent for pathology. Patients with endometrial hyperplasia found during diagnostic curettage should be followed up regularly. For older patients with atypical hyperplasia pathologically diagnosed, hysterectomy is recommended to prevent malignant progression of the disease.

After postmenopausal vaginal bleeding occurs, you must face it bravely, maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, do not affect your sleep, and make sure to ensure your sleep quality and sleep time. Only by ensuring the quality of sleep can you provide a good condition for the body. Then, through the adjustment of food and medicine, you will move towards health step by step. Eat more foods that reduce heat, and also eat more blood-enriching foods and fruits.
