What should I do if I have brown discharge from my vagina?

Under normal circumstances, it is normal for women to have a small amount of secretions. It is mainly a mixture of vaginal mucosal exudates, endometrial and fallopian tube secretions, which is often called leucorrhea. In fact, normal leucorrhea is egg white-like, without any fishy smell, and the amount is relatively small. It does not require treatment. If there are abnormalities in the color, smell, etc. of the secretions, it may be a gynecological disease.

There are two types of non-menstrual vaginal bleeding: physiological and disease-related. Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during the ovulation period, that is, mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. If the symptoms are mild, no treatment is required. If the bleeding is heavy or affects fertility, medication can be used for treatment. However, if there is irregular vaginal bleeding, the following diseases should also be considered: cervical polyps, acute vaginitis, severe cervical erosion, cervical cancer, uterine submucosal fibroids, etc. In addition, sometimes due to the placement of an intrauterine contraceptive ring, there are also some blood streaks in the leucorrhea. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination, find out the cause under the guidance of the doctor, and make timely causal treatment and treatment.

Ovulation bleeding usually occurs in the middle of the menstrual cycle. It is caused by the fluctuation of hormone levels in the body after the ovulation of the follicle, which leads to the shedding of the endometrium and causes bleeding. The amount is usually small and does not exceed 3 days. If the amount of bleeding is heavy and the bleeding time is long, a gynecological examination should be performed to rule out inflammation, endometrial lesions, tumors, etc. If the above diseases are not present, treatment is generally not required, and symptomatic treatment is only required when bleeding is heavy.

Brown discharge may be bleeding during ovulation. Generally, the amount is very small and will disappear soon. This is normal and does not require special treatment. If it is not during ovulation, it is very likely some kind of gynecological disease, which is more serious. You must go to the hospital for a thorough check-up as soon as possible to avoid missing the best time for treatment.
