How should gynecological vulvar leukoplakia be treated?

Leukoplakia of the genitals is a very common gynecological disease. Because many women have a vague understanding of this disease, they often mistakenly think it is just an ordinary skin disease, thus delaying the best time for treatment. This disease can actually become cancerous, so when white spots are found on the genitals, immediate treatment is required. So what are the treatments for leukoplakia of the pubic area?

Common causes of disease include: diabetes, trichomoniasis or candidal vaginitis, preference for spicy food, inadequate external cleaning and care, habit of scratching with hands, etc. If you have the above adverse factors, you must actively overcome them.

1. Topical medication

Topical medication is what we often call drug treatment. What should we do if we have vulvar leukoplakia? Drug treatment is generally a treatment method commonly used by patients. Drug treatment is divided into: external wash treatment, hyperplastic type, mixed type treatment, and atrophic type treatment. For external wash treatment, it is recommended to use Chinese medicine water to clean the affected area. For hyperplastic type, mixed type, and atrophic type treatment, soft ointment and cod liver oil ointment can be used for treatment, but the number of times should be controlled.

2. Surgical treatment

Surgical treatment is also a common treatment method for female vulvar leukoplakia, which can be simple vulvectomy or vulvectomy combined with skin grafting. In addition, the minimally invasive treatment using the Orlock ultrasound focusing system has no side effects or trauma to patients, changing the defects of traditional surgery such as large damage. However, surgical treatment is only a temporary solution and does not address the root cause. The chance of recurrence of the disease is very high, and the surgery will affect the patient's normal urination.

3. Laser and electric heating

Although this method is effective quickly, it also has certain risks. Because vulvar leukoplakia is caused by various factors that block the nutritional pathways of the vulva and cause local lack of nutrients, and electrotherapy and laser treatment will aggravate the loss of nutrients, thereby aggravating the atrophy of the cracks.

In addition to the three methods mentioned above, it is also very important to understand the causes of leukoplakia of the pubic area. Frequent consumption of spicy food, lack of personal hygiene, unclean private parts cleaning, and unclean sexual behavior may induce these diseases, so they must be prevented from the root.
