What to do if you have bilateral fibrocystic breast changes

Both bilateral breast hyperplasia and breast hyperplasia are endocrine disorders. Bilateral breast hyperplasia means that the patient has lumps or pain in both breasts. Therefore, it will cause greater harm to people and the chance of the disease becoming malignant will be higher. Therefore, everyone must pay attention to the treatment of bilateral breast hyperplasia. So, what should we do about the specific changes in bilateral breast hyperplasia?

【Symptoms】What are the symptoms of bilateral breast hyperplasia?

⑴ Breast lumps: Lumps can occur in one or both breasts, single or multiple, often in the upper outer quadrant of the breast, but can also be seen in other quadrants. The shapes of the lumps include flake-shaped, nodular-shaped, cord-shaped, granular-shaped, etc., among which the flake-shaped is the most common. The lump has unclear boundaries, is of medium or slightly hard texture, has good mobility, has no adhesion to surrounding tissues, and is often tender. The lumps vary in size, with small ones being as big as millet grains and large ones exceeding 3 to 4 cm. Breast lumps also change with the menstrual cycle. The lumps become larger and harder before menstruation, and shrink and soften after menstruation.

⑵ Breast pain: It is often characterized by distending pain or stabbing pain, which may affect one or both breasts, with one side being more severe. Those with severe pain cannot touch the breast, and may even affect their daily life and work. The pain is mainly in the breast lump, and may also radiate to the affected armpit, chest, flank, shoulder and back. Some people experience nipple pain or itching. Breast pain often occurs or worsens a few days before menstruation, and the pain is significantly reduced or disappears after menstruation. The pain may also fluctuate with mood changes.

[Type] What are the types of bilateral breast hyperplasia?

Breast hyperplasia refers to the proliferation of mammary epithelial and fibrous tissue. Bilateral breast hyperplasia usually occurs in both breasts, but one side is more obvious. Patients often feel breast pain, especially in the week before menstruation. Generally, bilateral breast hyperplasia can be divided into three types:

① Mastodynia: It is more common in women around 20 years old, with breast distension and pain as the main symptom, which is more obvious before menstruation and often occurs on the upper outer part of both breasts.

② Breast adenosis: It is more common in women around 30 years old. There are sometimes multiple nodules in the breast. During examination, it feels like touching soybeans at the bottom of a bowl. Sometimes there is obvious bilateral breast hyperplasia, especially before menstruation. It is often localized thickening and is not easy to distinguish from a tumor.

③Breast cyst: There is often distension, dull pain and burning sensation. When palpated, it is mostly a cystic mass with clear boundaries. Sometimes multiple cysts are clustered together, which is difficult to distinguish from cancer during examination.

Experts say that breast hyperplasia has a great impact on human health. If patients cannot discover and control the development of the disease in time, as the disease continues to worsen, the harm to the patient's body will become greater and greater. The continuous deterioration of the disease may threaten the patient's life safety, so it is best for patients to achieve early detection and early treatment.
