Leucorrhea is another body fluid secreted from the female genitals in addition to sweat. If there is an abnormality in the secretion of leucorrhea, such as an increase in leucorrhea, coupled with vulvar itching, it indicates that the woman has been infected with a gynecological disease and has been troubled by this gynecological problem. So what is the reason for vulvar itching and an increase in leucorrhea? The main causes of female vulvar itching and leucorrhea are: Cause 1: External vulvar skin disease The skin lesions of tinea cruris often extend to the vulva, causing severe local itching. The local itching caused by vulvar eczema and neurodermatitis is more severe. The former is manifested as papules, blisters and erosions with unclear skin boundaries, while the latter often causes thickening of the skin with lichenification due to scratching. In addition to causing local itching, vulvar leukoplakia is often accompanied by vulvar malnutrition and skin atrophy. Reason 2: Virus infection Genital warts mostly occur on the female vaginal wall, cervical opening and external vulva, and also cause leucorrhea with a foul odor. Molluscum contagiosum occurring on the external vulva often presents as round papules with an umbilical-like depression in the center, and may also cause external vulva itching. Genital herpes is often manifested by the appearance of bright, rice-sized blisters on the urethral opening and vaginal wall, in addition to local itching. Reason 3: Sexual allergy It is an allergic reaction that occurs during sexual intercourse. There are people who are allergic to semen, condoms, and friction. Reason 4: Fungal vaginitis Itching of the vulva and vagina, flushing of the vulva, and leucorrhea resembling bean curd residue with an odor. Scratching may cause eczematous changes of the vulva dermatitis. Reason 5: Trichomonas vaginalis Itching of the vulva and vagina, with foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a special odor, and eczematous changes of the vulvar dermatitis after scratching. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from the above conditions. Reason 6: Local skin is not clean Some women use toilet paper improperly, and the vulva skin is soaked by menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, and even urine, feces and sweat, which causes chronic inflammation of the local skin and causes vulva itching. From the above we can see that there are many reasons for vulvar itching and increased leucorrhea, but it all comes down to one thing: women should pay attention to the hygiene of their private parts. At the same time, if vulvar itching and increased vaginal discharge occur, go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. In short, as long as women pay more attention to hygiene in their daily lives and take better care of themselves, they can definitely avoid many gynecological diseases. |
