What causes itching, redness and swelling of the vagina?

The female genitals are very fragile. If you don't pay enough attention, it will lead to various problems. Among them, itching, redness and pain in the vulva are the most common problems. This type of situation requires treatment based on the specific cause of the disease. If the medicine is not suitable for the disease, it will only have a counterproductive effect. Below, the editor will introduce to you some common causes and treatments of vaginal itching and redness.

Vulvar pain and itching is a common disease among women, characterized by pain and itching of the skin around the labia majora and minora, clitoris, perineum, and anus.

(1) For vulvar pain and itching caused by Trichomonas, take metronidazole orally under the guidance of a physician, 0.2 g each time, 3 times a day, 7 times as a course of treatment, and at the same time insert Diweijing tablets or metronidazole tablets into the vagina, 1 tablet every night, 10 days as a course of treatment. The effect will be better if combined with vaginal douching. Married persons must examine their male spouse and receive treatment at the same time.

(2) For vulvar pain and itching caused by fungi, flush the vagina with 2% to 4% soda water under the guidance of a doctor once a night, and insert a tablet of Kemeinuan into the vagina at the same time. Ten times is a course of treatment. You can also apply gentian violet or ice boron paste intravaginally.

(3) Eliminate human causes, pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, wear cotton underwear that is not too tight, avoid using alkaline soaps, and minimize mechanical stimulation to the vulva.

(4) For vulvar pain and itching that cannot be diagnosed at the moment, 3% boric acid or 1% to 2% chlorhexidine solution can be used for wet compresses, 40% zinc oxide oil, calamine lotion and 2% diphenhydramine ointment can be used locally. If necessary, chlorpheniramine can be taken orally, but hormones, iodine, alcohol and the like should not be used.

(5) Avoid mental stress and do not cover yourself too thickly when sleeping, which can reduce the pain and itching.

(6) Avoid smoking, drinking, coffee, and eating spicy foods.

I believe that after the editor's careful explanation, everyone has a certain understanding of the causes and treatment methods of their own vaginal itching. However, my understanding is one-sided after all. The editor still recommends that you go to a regular hospital for a detailed examination. After all, gynecological diseases can be serious or minor. Don't let the disease worsen because of your unwillingness to receive treatment.
