How to treat vaginitis?

Women are always troubled by some gynecological diseases, especially when vaginitis occurs, it recurs and is always so annoying. Vaginitis is accompanied by increased leucorrhea, body odor, vulvar itching and other phenomena. When vaginitis occurs, not only the body needs to bear a certain amount of pain, the key is that it is also difficult for the couple to be harmonious. Here the editor will introduce to you the methods of treating vaginitis.

The main methods of Western medicine treatment for vaginitis are:

1. Trichomonas vaginitis:

a. Systemic medication: Trichomonas vaginitis is often accompanied by Trichomonas infection in the urogenital system and intestines. It is not easy to completely eliminate Trichomonas with simple local medication, so systemic medication should be used. Metronidazole 2g, taken all at once; or 200mg, 3 times a day, for 7 days. It has good oral absorption, high efficacy, low toxicity, and is easy to use. The husband or sexual partner needs to be treated at the same time.

b. Topical medication: Topical medication is also effective, but slightly inferior to oral administration. Metronidazole 200 mg, inserted into the vagina once every night for 7-10 days. The medication should be continued for 3 cycles. You can also use 0.5% acetic acid solution to flush the vagina.

2. Vulvovaginal candidiasis:

a. Remove the inducement: stop using antibiotics and estrogen, etc.

b. Topical medication: Choose one of the following:

Miconazole soft capsule 1200 mg, single dose. Miconazole suppository/soft capsule 400 mg, once every night for 3 days. Miconazole suppository 200 mg, once every night for 7 days. Clotrimazole suppository/tablet 500 mg, single dose. Clotrimazole suppository 100 mg, once every night for 7 days. Nystatin effervescent tablets 100,000 U, once every night.

c. Systemic medication: Suitable for unmarried women without sex life, those who are inconvenient to use local medication when going out, and those who are about to have their menstrual period. Fluconazole 150 mg, taken once.

3. Bacterial vaginosis:

a. Systemic medication: Metronidazole 500 mg, twice a day, for 7 days, the effective rate can reach 98.8%; clindamycin 300 mg, twice a day, for 7 days, the effective rate can reach 94%.

b. Topical medication: Metronidazole 200 mg, placed in the vagina, for 7 days; 2% clindamycin ointment 300 mg, applied to the vagina, for 7 days. The efficacy is slightly worse than oral administration.

It is more convenient and less troublesome to treat vaginitis with Western medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine can also be used for treatment. It is best to follow the doctor's advice and adopt a treatment method that suits you according to your condition. Generally speaking, as long as you actively receive treatment and pay more attention to it, vaginitis can be cured. When vaginitis occurs, do not have sex.
