Causes of excessive drooling during pregnancy

After a pregnant woman becomes pregnant, many symptoms will occur one after another, from nausea and vomiting at the beginning of pregnancy to the physical reactions in the early stages of pregnancy. As the belly gradually grows, the body endures many symptoms. For example, some pregnant women often feel that they have a lot of saliva during pregnancy. So, first of all, what is going on with this phenomenon!

Pregnant women, especially those in the early stages of pregnancy, are more likely to secrete large amounts of saliva. This seemingly simple problem can make pregnant women very uncomfortable. Why do pregnant women drool a lot in the early stages of pregnancy? In fact, some women drool more after pregnancy, just like babies and young children when they are teething, and they often feel uncomfortable. This may be related to the more excited vagus nerve after pregnancy.

Pregnant women have excessive saliva, which brings some unnecessary troubles to their normal life. Therefore, many pregnant women worry about the cause of their excessive saliva. In fact, increased saliva is also a common physiological phenomenon during pregnancy. Because the body's metabolism and blood circulation accelerate after pregnancy, the secretion of glands in the mouth is directly accelerated, and the secretion of saliva naturally increases.

Of course, intestinal discomfort caused by pregnancy, such as indigestion, nausea, vomiting, intestinal flatulence, etc., will also indirectly affect the secretion rate of the glands in the mouth. Pregnant women drool a lot in the early stages of pregnancy because of morning sickness. This condition usually begins to disappear after a few months of pregnancy. Generally, pregnant women with severe morning sickness have more obvious drooling.

Increased drooling has certain family genetic reasons and certain psychological factors. Some pregnant women become nervous when their drooling increases and often go to the hospital for treatment. In fact, there is no need to worry about it. Sometimes it will naturally ease after a few days; sometimes it will last longer, but generally it will stop naturally after the pregnancy ends. When drooling increases, pregnant women should distract themselves by going for a walk, listening to music, or doing some light housework, which can sometimes help to alleviate the symptoms. Eat less starchy foods that stimulate saliva secretion.

In the article, we learned that there is a lot of saliva during pregnancy. In fact, this has a lot to do with our regular intake of folic acid. In addition, if we do not pay attention to our diet and often fail to choose a reasonable diet for conditioning, such symptoms may occur.
