How long does a caesarean section take?

Pregnancy and childbirth are processes that every girl will go through. A girl must give birth to a child to be called a real woman, and a family must have children to be considered a complete family. This can be said to be the unchanging traditional idea of the Chinese nation for thousands of years. In the past, there were times when women had difficulty giving birth, but now, this almost never happens because caesarean sections are now available. This is also a great leap forward in medicine, which can be said to have greatly reduced the risk for women when giving birth. So, how long does it usually take to complete a caesarean section?

1. The operation time for cesarean section is much faster than that for normal delivery. Normal delivery takes about ten hours, while cesarean section takes less than an hour. This is the time required for a normal mother. If the mother has abnormal phenomena during the cesarean section, it will take longer.

In addition, during a caesarean section, the only thing the family has to do is to wait patiently. The family has no idea of the mother's condition, so some families will make a lot of noise outside the delivery room, which will affect the doctor's surgery and the mother's delivery process.

If you're having an emergency cesarean section, everything has to happen quickly. Try to calm yourself and focus your energy on those activities without letting it bore you. This is exactly how it works in some hospitals.

2. The process of caesarean section

Procedure 1: Anesthesia

After the anesthetic has taken effect, your doctor will make an incision (usually a horizontal bikini-shaped incision) in your lower abdomen, just above the pubic hair line. If you are still awake, you will be able to feel the cut, but will not feel pain.

Procedure 2: Caesarean section

At this time, a second incision (either vertical or horizontal) is made in your uterus. The amniotic sac is opened. If it has not ruptured, aspirate the fluid. You may hear gurgling or splashing sounds.

Process 3: Delivery

The doctor usually removes the baby quietly, either manually or with forceps, while an assistant squeezes the woman's uterus. Because your baby's meninges are hard, you can feel him being pulled out. If you really want to see your baby being born, you can ask the doctor if the partition can be lowered slightly so that you can watch the birth process, but you still can't see it clearly enough. If the cord is long enough, you can ask your doctor to give you a quick peek. Then, the umbilical cord is quickly cut, and while your baby is being carefully cared for, the doctor removes your placenta.

Step 4: Suturing

The doctor will quickly examine your genitals and sew up the incisions. The uterine incision will be closed with absorbable sutures, which do not have to be removed later. The incision in the abdomen is usually closed with regular sutures.

Your doctor will give you a shot of oxytocin, which is injected into a muscle or vein. It helps the uterus contract and stops bleeding. Intravenous antibiotics can reduce the likelihood of infection.

Giving birth to a child can be said to be a very sacred thing. The mother can be said to have gone through the gates of hell. Therefore, mothers are the greatest, and we should all learn to be grateful.
