The vagina is a very important reproductive organ for women. Because it is used frequently, this place is prone to disease. In daily life, many women find lumps in their vagina and are afraid that they have contracted a sexually transmitted disease. They are very worried and actively look for the cause of the disease. So, what are the causes of pimples in the vagina? Let’s take a closer look at it below. If you have bumps in your vagina, you may be suffering from genital warts. Most female genital warts are asymptomatic, with symptoms including local itching, pain, bleeding after sexual intercourse and vaginal discharge, and a history of promiscuous sex. The lesions turn white after being applied with 5% acetic acid. Growth sites: vulva, vagina, cervix, and perianal area. It is common for two sites to occur at the same time, often involving multiple sites in all squamous epithelial-covered areas from the cervix to the anus, presenting as multi-center lesions. In severe cases, the uterine cavity may be involved. Cervical warts mostly occur in the transition zone of the cervix. They may be single or multiple and may fuse. They are somewhat similar to papillary epithelial hyperplasia, but regular loops can be seen under the translucent epithelium. Vaginal warts are often multiple, mostly found in the upper 1/3 and lower 1/3 of the vagina. The lesions appear as raised, dense white protrusions, sometimes as a raised keratinized plaque with no blood vessels. One of the characteristics of vaginal warts is that they may regress spontaneously, particularly after treatment of cervical and vulvar lesions. Vulvar warts are the most common. They are generally soft, pink or grayish white, vascular, sessile growths with multiple finger-like projections on the surface. They initially occur in moist and frictional areas during sexual intercourse, such as the vaginal opening, labia, urethral opening, and hymen, and can also spread to other parts of the vulva or around the anus. The above is an introduction to what causes bumps in the vagina. I hope it will be helpful for women to understand. If there are bumps in the vagina, it is very likely that you have genital warts, which is a very serious sexually transmitted disease. Once you are infected, the consequences are quite serious. You must go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment to avoid more serious consequences. |
