Why do I feel nauseous at night during pregnancy?

Pregnant women should pay attention to their physical health during pregnancy. Once any adverse phenomena occur, the patient needs to take appropriate measures to treat them in time. This is to ensure the patient's physical health and avoid dangerous situations that affect the patient's safety. So why do pregnant women feel nauseous at night? Let me introduce it to you below.

Most women experience nausea and vomiting within 1-3 months after pregnancy, especially mild vomiting in the early morning or evening. Some vomiting may be very severe. This is called "pregnancy reaction." Nausea and vomiting are mainly caused by hormonal changes during pregnancy and do not require special treatment. Unless you have severe nausea and vomiting, you don't need to see a doctor. Otherwise, these are normal phenomena in early pregnancy. Appetite and eating habits often change during early pregnancy. For example, there is a decrease in interest in cigarettes, alcohol, tea and fried foods, and a preference for salty, sour, icy foods and fruits, or even a picky eater. The reasons for the above phenomena are not clear.

After pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows larger and presses forward on the bladder, and the capacity of the bladder becomes smaller and smaller. So when the urine accumulates to a certain level, you will feel the urge to urinate and go to the bathroom frequently, but it is only a trickle, not as strong as before. The same situation also occurs in the large intestine. Once the large intestine is stimulated, there is a feeling of urge to defecate. This situation will last for 3 months, and frequent urination and the urge to defecate will also be relieved at the same time.

Symptoms of nausea mostly occur in the early morning or when the stomach is empty. You cannot smell greasy or other strange smells, otherwise vomiting will occur immediately. These are physiological pregnancy reactions and usually disappear naturally after 3 months of pregnancy. That is to say, vomiting during pregnancy usually lasts until the third month of pregnancy, but everyone's situation will be different, and the duration of early pregnancy reaction will be determined by the individual's hormone levels. For some people, early pregnancy reactions last longer and may not disappear until 16-18 weeks.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the patient has the above problems, the pregnant woman needs to pay attention to take appropriate measures in time to ensure the health of the body and avoid dangerous situations caused by the above problems. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
