Nutritional supplementation methods for pregnant women at different stages

After pregnancy, many female friends are thinking about how to replenish the nutrition in their bodies and how to let the nutrition enter the body and absorb it to help the healthy development of the baby. So in the following article, let us learn about the nutritional supplements for pregnant women at different stages.

1. Fetal growth

About 7-10 days after fertilization, the fertilized egg implants in the endometrium, absorbs nutrients from the mother, and begins to develop. During the first 8 weeks, it should be called an embryo, not a fetus.

The size of the embryo in the late third week of pregnancy is about 0.5-1.0 cm long and weighs less than 1 gram, but its shape can be seen with the naked eye. Externally, the embryo cannot clearly distinguish between the head and body, and has gill arches and a tail, which is no different from the embryonic development of other animals.

At this time, the primitive placenta begins to take shape, and the fetal membrane (also called the chorion) is also formed at this time.

2. Changes in the mother

In fact, pregnancy cannot be considered within a week of the formation of the fertilized egg. A woman begins to show signs of pregnancy, usually after two weeks, so there are no symptoms during this period.

However, some people may experience symptoms such as chills, fever, sluggishness, and difficulty sleeping. Because they do not realize they are pregnant, they often mistakenly think they have a cold.

At this time, the size of the uterus is the same as before pregnancy and has not yet shown any signs of enlargement.

3. Matters to be noted in daily life

Women who are pregnant for the first time will experience a series of changes both physically and mentally. Because it is their first time, pregnant women themselves are often unaware of it. They may not have originally planned to have children, or they may not understand their body's reactions at all, which may lead to taking medicines by mistake or neglecting details of life, all of which may have adverse effects on the fetus and the mother.

In terms of physical reactions, the early stages of pregnancy may experience symptoms similar to those of a cold. If you buy over-the-counter medicines indiscriminately, not only will it fail to achieve the therapeutic effect, you may even give birth to a deformed baby! Therefore, do not take over-the-counter medicines under any circumstances. The safest way is to see a doctor and find out the cause of the disease.

Nutritional supplements for pregnant women at all stages must first ensure their own nutrition and must have a good effect. In particular, they should pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetables, eat fruits, and eat more nutritious soups, which can be of great help to the development of the fetus.
