What is the cause of cesarean section wound swelling?

What is the cause of cesarean section wound swelling?

Some girls must go through a cesarean section. It is a very painful process. Girls who persevere are the greatest mothers. The wound will take some time to heal after a cesarean section. During this process, you should take good care of your body, work harder, and take care of your body. When you are healthy, everything will be fine.

If there is a phenomenon of local wound suture rejection and accompanied by local inflammation and infection of the wound, it is recommended that you go to the obstetrics and gynecology or surgery department of the hospital for treatment. First, the infected part of the cesarean section wound should be disinfected and the stitches removed, and then you need to take some antibiotics for treatment.

Generally, you need to pay attention to your diet and local care, and use Bactroban for local symptomatic treatment, or aloe vera gel for symptomatic treatment!

(I) Inflammatory phase Inflammatory response is a defensive response to damage caused by various inflammatory stimuli when the human body is injured. It includes changes in hemodynamics, increased vascular permeability, inflammatory cell response, etc. Clinical symptoms include local redness, swelling, heat, pain and functional changes. It limits, eliminates and rejects foreign pathogenic factors and cells that die from injury through local tissue degeneration, exudation and hyperplasia, thus laying the foundation for wound healing.

(ii) Skin damage in the proliferative stage mainly refers to the defects of epithelial tissue and connective tissue, and skin wound healing mainly involves the repair and regeneration of epithelial tissue and dense connective tissue.

(1) Re-epithelialization. Epithelialization includes three stages: proliferation, migration, and differentiation of epithelial cells. After the epidermis is damaged, the basal cells at the ends of the defect continue to divide and proliferate, and migrate to the wound surface. When the new epithelial cells cover the wound surface, a thin epidermis is re-formed. When the migrating epithelial cells meet each other, the contact inhibition causes the migration of cells and the division activity stops. However, the new epithelial cells continue to divide and proliferate and move toward the surface, gradually differentiating to form a stratified flat epidermis. The skin tissue is defective, the wound edge is neat, there is no infection, and only a linear scar is left after the wound heals. When the wound surface is large, the epidermis repairs slowly. After the new granulation tissue fills the defective tissue, the epidermal cells cover the surface of the granulation tissue again to form a scar epithelium.

(2) Granulation tissue formation. Damage to the dermis and subcutaneous tissue is repaired through the formation of granulation tissue. Granulation tissue is a kind of immature connective tissue, which is composed of cells, extracellular matrix and abundant capillaries, and collagen fibers are its main components. After the dermis is damaged, fibroblasts secrete a large amount of collagen, elastin, fibronectin and glycosaminoglycans, and synthesize a large amount of collagen fibers. While fibroblasts synthesize collagen, collagenase continuously decomposes collagen, but at this time, synthesis is greater than decomposition. With the massive production of collagen and the proliferation of capillary buds, granulation tissue gradually forms and continuously fills the wound cavity. As the cavity is filled, the granulation tissue matures, the fibroblasts in it turn into fibrocytes, the capillaries are blocked, disappear, and the number decreases. Finally, the newly formed granulation tissue becomes a fibrous connective tissue lacking blood vessels, dull in color, hard, and mainly composed of collagen, and scar tissue is formed.

The above are the reasons why the incision of a cesarean section is swollen. As long as you have a cesarean section, the wound will be swollen for a period of time, especially when the wound is difficult to heal. Pay more attention to the changes in your wound. It is important to hold on and pay more attention to your diet so that you can have a better body. Health is the most important thing.
