What causes lumps under women's armpits?

I believe that most people are familiar with the disease of hard lumps under the armpits! The reason why the probability of developing hard lumps under the armpits is very high is largely related to its complex causes. If you want to stay away from armpit lumps, it is crucial to stay away from internal and external factors that may induce armpit lumps. So, what causes lumps under women’s armpits?

1. Observe the skin: There is no change in the skin of patients with breast hyperplasia, while the skin of cancer patients will sink inward or the nipple will be inverted.

2. Identify the pain: Breast hyperplasia is often very painful, but breast cancer is painless in the early stages. The pain only becomes apparent in the later stages when it reaches the outer capsule or accumulates on the skin.

3. Feel the softness and hardness: The texture of the lump caused by hyperplasia is softer than that of breast cancer, and it has no adhesion to the surrounding tissues. The lump grows slowly and is more common in middle-aged and young women. Breast cancer lumps are hard in texture, have poor mobility, and are easily adhered to surrounding tissues. The lumps are unrelated to the menstrual cycle and can grow rapidly in a short period of time. They are more common in middle-aged and elderly women.

The accessory breast is also affected by endocrine system like the normal breast, and can develop the same diseases as the normal breast, such as accessory mastitis, lobular hyperplasia, milk cyst and benign and malignant tumors. Because the site of occurrence is hidden, it is often misdiagnosed and treated incorrectly clinically, so it should be taken seriously. Accessory breasts often occur on the upper and outer parts of the normal breast, such as the armpit and anterior axilla, and rarely occur on the lower part of the normal breast, such as the abdominal wall, groin, and vulva. It is rare for it to occur on the face, cheeks, ears, neck, back, arms, and outer thighs, so it is also called ectopic breast.

I believe that after reading the answer, everyone will understand why women have lumps under their armpits. Because armpit lumps have many similarities with other breast diseases, it is easy for people to confuse them during treatment. Therefore, it is critical to conduct a clear examination before treating armpit lumps in women.
