What happened after my period came for a month?

Menstruation is what we call female menstruation. This physiological phenomenon is normal, and it is currently known that only humans have this physiological phenomenon. Menstruation is cyclical. Generally, each woman's cycle is different, but the approximate time is the same, which is about once a month and lasts for a week each time. But some women’s menstruation lasts for a month and does not stop for a long time. I don’t know what’s going on?

Normal women's menstruation lasts for 2-7 days, with a menstrual volume of 50-80 ml. Excessive menstruation or prolonged menstruation is unacceptable. It is common in uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, endometrial hyperplasia, endometriosis, etc. If there is no organic lesion in the examination, functional uterine bleeding should be considered, which means that there is no obvious organic lesion in the internal and external genitalia, and abnormal uterine bleeding caused by endocrine regulation system disorders is the most common type of menstrual disorder, which is common in adolescence and menopause.

There are two main reasons that affect menstruation: 1. Caused by neuroendocrine dysfunction: such as excessive mental stress, changes in environment and climate, malnutrition or metabolic disorders, gynecological inflammatory diseases, etc., mainly defects in the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis, that is, menstrual disorders. 2. Caused by organic lesions or drugs: including local inflammation of the reproductive organs, tumors and developmental abnormalities, malnutrition, etc.

If the cycle is delayed and there is long-term bleeding, there are several situations:

①Ovarian dysfunction due to thyroid deficiency;

② Incomplete atrophy of the corpus luteum and irregular shedding of the endometrium;

③No ovulation.

It is recommended that you should first promptly identify the cause of prolonged menstrual bleeding through B-ultrasound, hormone testing and other examinations, and actively cooperate with conditioning treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

Generally, women's menstruation comes once a month and lasts about a week each time, because a week is enough time to eliminate the substances shed from the endometrium. However, some women's menstruation lasts for a month, which indicates the influence of a disease that makes the women's menstruation abnormal. This requires treatment and women need to pay high attention to it.
