Causes of congenital fallopian tube obstruction

Causes of congenital fallopian tube obstruction

I believe everyone has seen such a situation in life, that is, a couple has been married for a long time but has no children. Many times, infertility is caused by the wife's fallopian tube blockage. So what are the causes of fallopian tube blockage? How many levels of congestion can be divided into? Let’s discuss it together.

Overview

Fallopian tube obstruction is a common cause of infertility, accounting for 1/3 of infertile patients. It has been gradually increasing in recent years and is a difficult problem in the treatment of infertility. Fallopian tube blockage is divided into congenital fallopian tube blockage and secondary fallopian tube blockage.

Congenital fallopian tube obstruction usually requires a comprehensive analysis based on the results of B-ultrasound, fallopian tube insufflation, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and other examinations.

reason

Common emboli include endometrial fragments and blood clots during menstruation, as well as embryonic tissue and embryonic appendages that enter the fallopian tubes and cause blockage during medical abortion and artificial abortion due to the sudden release of uterine contractions and uterine pressure suction.

The fallopian tube is blocked due to the shrinkage of the fallopian tube fluid, and the fallopian tube adhesion surgery performed in family planning, etc.

When the fallopian tube is exposed to certain stimuli, functional spasm will occur, causing the opening and lumen to contract, resulting in obstruction of the fallopian tube.

Such opportunities for mechanical fallopian tube blockage are still rare. The most common cause is when checking the patency of the fallopian tubes when looking for the cause of infertility. Mechanical blockage accounts for a small proportion of fallopian tube blockage. The most common cause of fallopian tube blockage is pathological blockage.

The most common symptom is inflammatory lesions in the fallopian tubes. The cause of salpingitis is infection by pathogens, mainly Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, gonococci, Proteus, Pneumococcus, Chlamydia, etc. This inflammation is often transient and short-lived, but the blockage of the fallopian tube caused by infectious inflammation will be permanent and cannot be healed by itself.

There are three levels of congenital fallopian tube obstruction:

The first is that the fallopian tube is obstructed, which is caused by debris, shed cells or blood clots in the tube; or the fallopian tube is too thin and curved; or the fallopian tube is adhered to the pelvic wall and adjacent organs, pulling the movement of the fallopian tube.

The second situation is that the fallopian tubes are blocked and the damage is less severe, but most of the fallopian tubes are normal.

The third situation is that the fallopian tube is completely blocked and severely damaged. This situation is mostly caused by delayed treatment due to a long course of illness or fallopian tube tuberculosis infection. Because the fallopian tubes become scarred, contracted, and stiff, and their functions undergo irreversible changes, it is difficult to conceive naturally even if they are successfully unblocked.

Through the introduction in the above article, I believe everyone has a general understanding of the causes of fallopian tube blockage, right? Some fallopian tube blockages can actually be relieved and treated. If you have been married for a long time and still don't have children, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a check-up to see if your fallopian tubes are blocked. If so, you can get treatment early.
