What is threatened miscarriage?

Women are prone to miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy. The fetus is unstable in the early stages of pregnancy, so women must pay attention to their diet and daily routine. They should choose the right diet and have a normal daily routine. This will greatly improve their physical fitness and prevent miscarriage. So what is threatened miscarriage? This is something that many women are not very clear about. The following is a detailed introduction so that you can have some understanding.

What is threatened miscarriage?

Traditional Chinese medicine calls threatened abortion "fetal leakage". If the fetus moves restlessly and develops further, there may be a risk of miscarriage or miscarriage. Generally speaking, if the fetus falls after three months of pregnancy and is already formed, it is called "miscarriage" or "partial birth". Modern medicine calls it "spontaneous abortion". If after a miscarriage or abortion, the next pregnancy ends in miscarriage as expected, or if miscarriages occur repeatedly for more than three times, it is called "slippery fetus", now called "habitual abortion".

Etiology and pathogenesis

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the occurrence of this disease is mainly due to the instability of Chong and Ren meridians, which cannot absorb blood and nourish the fetus. Because Chong is the sea of blood and Ren governs the fetus, if the Qi of Chong and Ren is solid, the fetus will be supported and nourished, and the fetus can grow and develop normally. On the contrary, diseases such as fetal leakage and fetal movement disorder may occur, which lead to the mechanism of Chong and Ren instability, which is caused by weak Qi and blood, kidney deficiency, blood heat, and trauma.

(l) Deficiency of Qi and blood: The patient is usually weak, with a long-term deficiency of the spleen and stomach, and insufficient Qi in the middle, which makes it impossible to transform food and water into fine particles, which are then sent to the heart to produce blood. Or the patient has been ill for a long time or has been seriously ill, and the body is weak, with insufficient Qi to carry the fetus and insufficient blood to nourish the fetus, thus leading to symptoms such as fetal movement disorder or fetal leakage.

(2) Kidney deficiency: congenital deficiency of kidney qi, or excessive sexual intercourse after pregnancy, or repeated miscarriages that damage kidney qi. Kidney deficiency can cause the Chong and Ren meridians to become unstable, causing the fetus to lose its anchor, thus leading to restless fetuses or miscarriage.

(3) Blood heat: After pregnancy, Yin blood gathers in the blood sea to nourish the fetus, which causes Yang Qi to be excessive. Or, after pregnancy, the woman develops a fever, which causes the internal heat to disturb the blood sea, forcing the blood to flow abnormally, damaging the fetus and causing fetal leakage and restless fetal movement.

(4) Trauma: Falls, sprains, or overexertion can damage the Qi and blood, affecting the Chong and Ren meridians, resulting in inability to nourish and carry the fetus, leading to fetal movement disorders.

The above is an introduction to threatened miscarriage. When a woman experiences this situation, her body will have obvious symptoms. If you want to prevent this situation well, women must make adjustments to their bodies before becoming pregnant. This way, they can avoid threatened miscarriage and their health will not be harmed.
