Treatment of atypical endometrial hyperplasia

Treatment of atypical endometrial hyperplasia

In our daily life, many women suffer from gynecological diseases due to long-term irregular living habits, such as staying up late and sleeping late, as well as high work pressure. Atypical endometrial hyperplasia is a common gynecological disease. Often, the early manifestation of the disease is irregular menstruation, but it is often ignored by us, resulting in no timely treatment, which makes the disease more serious. Let us learn about the treatment of atypical endometrial hyperplasia.

Atypical endometrial hyperplasia can lead to infertility. The endometrium is affected by the hormone levels in the body. If it thickens excessively, it is mainly caused by changes in hormone levels. This can not only affect menstruation, but may also affect normal ovulation, and is not conducive to the implantation of the fertilized egg, leading to habitual miscarriage or infertility. It is recommended to do a vaginal B-ultrasound three days after the end of menstruation to observe the specific thickness of the endometrium. If the endometrium is too thick, menstruation will be very painful, and the fertilized egg will not be easy to implant. There are three main treatments for atypical endometrial hyperplasia: hormone replacement therapy, hysterectomy, and traditional Chinese medicine treatment.

1. Hormone replacement therapy. It is not advisable to use large amounts of exogenous hormones to impact the endocrine balance system of the body that is already in a disordered state in an attempt to achieve the purpose of treating the disease. In particular, the shortcomings of hormones such as long treatment course, low cure rate and serious side effects have gradually attracted the attention of the clinical community.

2. Hysterectomy. The purpose of surgical treatment is mainly to prevent the lesion from developing into endometrial cancer. It is often applicable to: those who are ineffective with drug treatment or whose disease relapses after drug discontinuation; those who are >40 years old and have no fertility requirements; those who are difficult to distinguish from endometrial cancer; and those who choose surgery.

3. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine.
