How to treat uterine hypertrophy

How to treat uterine hypertrophy

Uterine hypertrophy has a certain impact on women's fertility, so we recommend that when you encounter uterine hypertrophy in your life, it is best to use some medication to treat it. For cases of uterine hypertrophy, we can use silver nitrate solution and potassium dichromate solution to apply to the affected area in our daily life, which will be helpful for us to treat this disease.

Uterine hypertrophy may be caused by the fact that women do not pay enough attention to the cleanliness of the uterus and do not exercise restraint in their sex life. Therefore, we recommend that you pay more attention to the health of your uterus, which is very helpful in preventing uterine hypertrophy.

1. Medication

Suitable for mild erosion, the method is as follows:

(1) Carefully apply 10-30% silver nitrate solution or 10% iodine to the affected area with a cotton swab. After applying silver nitrate, apply normal saline solution to convert excess silver nitrate into non-corrosive silver chloride. Take twice a week, 4 to 6 times as a course of treatment, and repeat if necessary.

(2) Use a cotton swab dipped in potassium dichromate solution to carefully apply to the affected area. Apply the solution once after the menstrual period ends and repeat after the next menstrual period. This is sometimes more effective for those with larger erosions. Before applying the medicine, wipe the cervical mucus with 0.1% chlorhexidine, and place two cotton balls on the posterior fornix to prevent the medicine from flowing down and burning the vaginal mucosa. After finishing, take out the cotton ball and wipe the applied area with a 75% alcohol cotton swab (formula: 10g potassium dichromate, 75ml concentrated sulfuric acid, add water to 100ml).

2. Surgery

Cervical conization can be performed for patients with cervical hypertrophy, deep and extensive erosion involving the endocervical canal, and/or suspected malignant transformation. Remove the tissue and send it for pathological examination. This method leaves a smaller scar and the cervix can remain in its original shape after surgery.

3. Minimally invasive treatment

Physical therapy is suitable for moderate and severe erosions. It is currently the method with the best efficacy and the shortest treatment course, and can usually be cured in one treatment.

(1) Laser treatment: Laser causes eroded tissue to carbonize and form a scab.

(2) Cryotherapy uses a liquid nitrogen rapid cooling device. The probe is placed on the eroded surface for 1 to 3 minutes and then removed after natural rewarming, causing the diseased tissue to freeze and necrotize. A lot of watery discharge may occur 2 to 3 weeks after treatment. The advantage is that bleeding and cervical stenosis occur less frequently.

(3) Electric ironing: Use the electric iron head to contact the eroded surface to coagulate the tissue and form a scab. The scab begins to fall off after about two weeks, and it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks for the wound to heal. The operation should be performed 3 to 5 days after the end of menstruation. Do not use if you have adnexitis. After treatment, leucorrhea may temporarily increase or cause bleeding. If there is a lot of bleeding, use sterile gauze to apply pressure to stop the bleeding and remove it after 24 hours. The disadvantage is that scar contraction sometimes causes cervical stenosis.

Regarding the treatment methods of uterine hypertrophy introduced in the article, we recommend that everyone should have a good understanding of it in life, which will help us control the disease of uterine hypertrophy in time in life. At the same time, when we encounter diseases such as uterine hypertrophy in normal times, it is best to go to the hospital to check the cause of the disease.
