Conditions for artificial insemination

Conditions for artificial insemination

The term artificial insemination is no longer so new in our contemporary society, because in reality more and more people are undergoing artificial insemination. This is mainly due to the excessive pressure of life and some bad living habits. In today's society, many people are unable to have children due to various reasons, which is very painful. Often at this time they will think of artificial insemination, but in fact artificial insemination is subject to conditional restrictions.

There are many conditions for artificial insemination, and not all infertile people can undergo artificial insemination. In fact, these so-called artificial insemination conditions are just to ensure that the baby will be born healthy in the future, and many people can understand this. Next, let’s introduce the conditions for artificial insemination in detail.

1. Bilateral fallopian tube obstruction: Whether it is fallopian tube obstruction or poor motility caused by inflammation, tuberculosis or endometriosis, congenital absence of fallopian tubes or ectopic pregnancy, fallopian tube removal makes it impossible for sperm and egg to meet. In vitro fertilization technology has built a bridge for these patients. It can be said that bilateral fallopian tube obstruction is an absolute indication for "test tube baby".

2. Immune infertility: The semen is washed and fertilized in vitro to avoid interference from immune factors.

3. Male factors: After the semen is washed and concentrated, its fertilization ability can be determined through in vitro culture.

4. Unexplained infertility: Patients for whom no obvious cause has been found under current examination conditions and other treatments have not been successful

There are two types of artificial insemination: artificial insemination between spouses and artificial insemination between non-spouses.

(1) Artificial insemination between spouses

Artificial insemination between spouses refers to artificial insemination using fresh or frozen semen of the husband. The conditions for this are: the husband's semen is normal, but he has difficult-to-correct sexual intercourse disorders and the sperm cannot reach the uterine cavity, while the woman's reproductive tract is found to be unobstructed and her ovulation function is normal.

(2) Artificial insemination between non-spousal men refers to artificial insemination using healthy, normal fresh or frozen semen provided by a non-spousal man. Extreme caution must be exercised when considering insemination between non-couples. The prerequisite for non-spousal artificial insemination is that the man has no hope of regaining his fertility. The examination should include a testicular biopsy to confirm the loss of spermatogenesis, while the woman's fertility is completely normal.

The requirements for those who can provide semen for artificial insemination between non-spouses are generally that they should be under 40 years old, in good health, and free from infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, mental illnesses, endocrine disorders, diabetes, tuberculosis, cancer, blood diseases, congenital genetic diseases, drug addiction, etc.

Artificial insemination must be performed in a hospital by medical staff in accordance with strict inspection procedures and under strict disinfection conditions, and under their specific guidance.

Therefore, through the detailed introduction in the above article, we can not only understand in detail the specific conditions for artificial insemination, but also know on the other hand that artificial insemination can actually be completed between non-spouses, but generally speaking, normal people will not implement this method unless it is absolutely necessary, which is related to the issue of passing on the family line.
