How many days does it take to wean?

As we all know, many expectant mothers will choose to breastfeed their children. Of course, it should be said that breastfeeding is also the best source of nutrition for the baby. However, no matter how good the source of nutrition is, the baby still needs to be weaned. Weaning is a manifestation of the child's growth, and the mother also has to experience the pain of milk weaning.

It should be said that weaning is a necessary process for breastfeeding women. There are many ways to wean, and if you can choose a better way to wean, then you can minimize the harm to women. So what are the ways to wean?

1. How many days after weaning does milk return?

Experts point out that mothers who are weaning do not need to be too nervous, as the milk can usually be stopped on its own in 3-7 days. During normal weaning, if there is too much milk and natural weaning is not effective, artificial weaning methods can also be used.

2. Experts explain how to stop breastfeeding after weaning

1. Natural weaning. That is to say, gradually reduce the number of breastfeeding times and shorten the breastfeeding time. At the same time, you should pay attention to taking less soup and milk-producing foods, so that milk secretion gradually decreases and even disappears.

2. Artificial weaning. That is, using various milk-suppressing drugs to reduce milk secretion. Generally, you should go to the hospital to get milk-suppressing injections, take Chinese and Western medicines, etc. Estrogen drugs can be taken orally or injected intramuscularly, such as oral ethinyl estradiol, 5 mg each time, 3 times a day, for 3 to 5 days; or intramuscular injection of estradiol benzoate, 2 mg each time, 2 times a day, for 3 to 5 days. Oral or external use of Chinese herbal medicines to stop milk production can also have good effects, such as 120g of roasted malt, boiled in water, and taken warm in 3 doses; or 1 bowl of soy milk, add a little white sugar; or first suck out the milk, use 50-60g of saltpeter, put it in a gauze bag, apply it to the breasts, and replace it in time after deliquescing, 3-4 times a day.

3. Rise and fall method. Allow your breasts to swell and endure the pain. After about a week, they will swell back down. During the weaning period, you must be patient and avoid letting your baby suck intermittently or expressing milk due to bloating and pain. Doing so will inevitably prolong the weaning time.

4. Chives can reduce milk production. Eating more leeks can help reduce milk production.

5. Food method to stop weaning. Maltose: Add 60 grams of roasted malt and appropriate amount of brown sugar to a pot, add water and boil, remove the residue and drink it once a day for 1-2 weeks.

Finally, I would like to remind all my female friends that if you decide to wean your child, no matter how painful the process is, you should not let your child relapse. This is the only way to completely wean your child and help you recover your health sooner.
