What causes breast pain in women

When it comes to the problem of chest pain in women, I believe that many women have experienced this before. In many cases, they have chest pain for no reason, and even many women mistakenly think that they have a terrible disease such as "breast cancer", so they are worried all day long. So what is the reason for women's chest pain? What is the cause of women's chest pain? Let's take a detailed look below!

What causes chest pain in women?

(1) Chest pain during puberty

Around the age of 9 to 13, girls' breasts begin to grow and develop gradually. As the nipples gradually protrude, they will feel a slight swelling and pain in their chests. This swelling and pain may continue until the girl's menarche. As hormone secretion gradually stabilizes, the chest pain problem will disappear on its own.

(2) Chest pain before menstruation

When it comes to the question of why women suffer from chest pain, in fact, most women often experience chest pain for no reason. This is because in the few days before menarche, due to increased estrogen levels, breast hyperplasia, and edema of breast tissue, chest pain will occur. After the menarche, the body's estrogen levels are restored and the symptoms of chest pain will subside.

(3) Breast pain during pregnancy

Around 40 to 50 days in the early stages of pregnancy, under the influence of various hormones such as estrogen, prolactin, etc., the woman's breasts will begin to grow and expand again, and she may experience breast pain.

(4) Breast pain after childbirth

About 3 to 7 days after giving birth, many women experience breast pain due to problems such as blocked mammary gland tubes, venous congestion, and mammary lymph node congestion. In addition, many women will experience breast hyperplasia after giving birth, which can also cause chest pain and discomfort.

The above is a brief introduction about the causes of chest pain in women. In fact, there are many reasons for chest pain in women, but most of them are normal physiological phenomena, and generally they can be cured by proper medical care. However, if female friends have chest pain for a long time, they should also be alert to whether it is a signal of breast disease. It is recommended to go to a reliable hospital for physical examination and treatment in time.
