Can you eat sprouted food?

1. What are the foods that sprout?

We all know that seeds will germinate if they are given certain growth conditions such as temperature, humidity, sufficient air and water. But do you know which foods we eat will germinate?

1. Garlic

Garlic is very easy to sprout and grow leaves at a suitable temperature. This is the "secondary development" of garlic. If you break open the garlic cloves, you will obviously see that the sprouted garlic cloves are drier and more shrunken than the unsprouted ones. But do you know? Sprouted garlic has stronger antioxidant properties and contains more dietary fiber and vitamins than unsprouted garlic.

2. Beans

Soybeans, mung beans, peas, etc. will also sprout under suitable growing conditions, especially the soybean sprouts and mung bean sprouts that are common on our tables. They are good ingredients that are low in energy and rich in various vitamins and dietary fiber.

3. Potatoes

Potatoes are a good ingredient in our lives that can be used as staple food, made into dishes or snacks. Sweet potatoes, potatoes, etc. will also sprout under certain conditions.

4. Others

In life, we will also find that the vegetables that mothers buy home, such as ginger, radish, cabbage, broccoli, etc., will sprout on their own after being left for a period of time. After the above foods sprout, if they do not rot, these foods will not produce toxins after sprouting. However, their nutritional value will be reduced to a certain extent, and the taste will be much worse, but they are still edible.
