Uterus and vagina

The vagina is a muscular tube composed of mucosa, muscle layer and outer membrane. It is quite flexible and connects the uterus and reproductive organs. It is the female's sexual organ and the channel for menstruation and fetal delivery.

The normal pH value of female secretions is 3.8. The lower part of the vagina is narrow, and the lower part opens into the vaginal vestibule at the vaginal orifice. In the virgin stage, the hymen is broken and adhered around the vulva, which can be ring-shaped, crescent-shaped, umbrella-shaped or sieve-shaped. After the hymen ruptures, a hymen mark will remain around the vulva.

Structural features of the vagina

The structure of the vagina is mainly narrow at the bottom, with the opening at the vaginal vestibule. In the virgin stage, the hymen around the vulva is broken and adhered, which can be ring-shaped, crescent-shaped, umbrella-shaped or sieve-shaped. After the hymen ruptures, a hymen mark will remain around the vulva.

The upper part of the vagina is spacious, surrounding the cervix and the inner part of the vagina, forming an annular indentation between the two, called the internal vaginal vault, which can be divided into the front, back and two sides. It is deep in the posterior side of the inner vaginal fornix and is closely adjacent to the duodenal fornix, separated only by the vaginal wall and a layer of retroperitoneum. It has great practical significance in clinical medicine, such as draining blood from the indentation through the posterior fornix.

The ancients called the vagina

It is said that women are very mysterious, and the area that best represents women’s mystery is their private parts[1]. Because there are many names for women's private parts that we don't know. In ancient times, there were many names for women’s private parts[1]. One is called Xiaguang (Jingou): which is the vulva or vestibule of the vagina. The second is called Fengji, which refers to the labia majora and minora. The third is called Xuanpu: it also refers to the mons pubis or vestibule of the vagina. The fourth call is the sowbug, which is a stinking rat: it also refers to the vulva or clitoris. The fifth is Gu Shi: refers to the Yin Emperor. The sixth is called wheat teeth: it means the hymen is broken. The seventh is called baby girl: it refers to the posterior fornix of the female vagina. The eighth is called reverse: it refers to the upper and lower domes in the vagina. The ninth name is He Yu: It also refers to the female vagina vault. The tenth is called red: that is, Danxue, also refers to the female vaginal vault. The eleventh is called Chishi, which is the red pearl, referring to the cervix in the vaginal vault; the twelfth is called Zaoshi, which is the Kunshi, referring to the junction of the vaginal vault and the duodenal uterine crypt. In fact, gentle and euphemistic names are related to Chinese culture.

In Chinese culture, people are often afraid to talk about vagina, as if discussing a woman's vagina is something derogatory. Whether it is the fertility worship in ancient times or the sexual life between men and women, they are becoming more and more reserved. To give a typical example, during the Qing Dynasty, the Heshuote Prince's Palace had a pair of natural yin and yang stones - the Fuxi and Nuwa stones. [1] These were natural treasures bestowed by nature, but the prince's palace could only worship them quietly. This was still a tribe that practiced fertility worship. In our country, people stay away from anything involving male and female organs. Even many sex museums have few visitors.
